"Eco Guard is a fantastic organization with a great product and excellent client interaction. I've used them for 5 years and don't have any complaints. The price is reasonable and the staff are very knowledgeable and responsive. If any issues arise EG has been very quick to address and has shown a lot of integrity. "I was in desperate need of some help and answers to my pest problems. This was the first & only Pro that contacted me. While I didn't technically hire them, they were very professional and responded quickly to my project request. The project was quoted at $200, but I was only charged $50 for a down payment and inspection. While I may still be baffled at how I got a small invasion of pesky flies, the Pro was excellent at communicating with me and still offered their services in my time of need."

"I have hired 3 pest control folks in 6 years to take care of a continuous issue. Brian at Simply Rodents has been the best at communicating and explaining how the rodents were getting in and how the other companies failed to properly secure the entry points. Brian is always on time and his communication has been top notch. He has always responded to my questions in a timely manner. He saw that I had a severe ant and spider issue and took care of that issue for me as well. One less thing for me to worry about! I would highly recommend Brian at Simply Rodents for any pest control issue that you have. I am so happy that I found such a great company to help me maintain my house."

"This company is the best I have ever experienced! So responsive, professional and amazing! They responded so fast to us and they took care of the issue! The cusotomer service is the best! Usually these days customer support is not good but this company is amazing! We had a major rat problem and they not only got rid of them but they figured out how they were coming in and stopped them as well as set rat traps!"

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

The most widely touted method for removing fruit flies is the combination of apple cider vinegar and dish soap. Since the soap causes the flies to sink, you can leave this trap open for maximum potency and easy fly access.

Badgers have a strong sense of smell, so it’s possible you can deter them with strong scents, such as applying citronella oil to the bottom of your fence, adding crushed scotch bonnet peppers sprinkled throughout your garden, or mixing both of these into a solution to spray around your home and garden.

Dawn detergent does much more than clean germs on your dishes. It can also help remove flea eggs from your pet. Give your pet a bath using a few squirts of Dawn in warm water—be sure to keep it away from their eyes—to wash away those flea eggs. Note that Dawn doesn’t actually kill the eggs, nor can it help you with any eggs that have already fallen off your pet and taken up residence in your household, though.

Wasps tend to be more aggressive and defensive than bees. Both will sting to defend themselves or their colony or nest. But many bees have barbed stingers, which means they can’t pull them out of the skin after stinging, allowing them to sting only once. When provoked, wasps can sting multiple times, making them a more menacing pest.

Groundhogs usually keep their cool despite being easily spooked. However, there are exceptions—they might get defensive or territorial if they feel threatened or overly concerned. If they sense a threat to their babies, they could get feisty, too. These wild animals are not meant to be kept as pets. If you find babies or an injured groundhog, contact your local animal rescue or wildlife service for guidance.
