"We recently had the interior of our home painted by the licensed very professional R. ROBINSON’S Painting & Decorating Contractors. Ren listed to our requests and made some suggestions on paint colors. The crew was friendly, courteous and highly efficient. They did a fantastic job. Showed up on time. Protected all furniture with plastic and cloth tarps and carefully taped off all door handles. Their workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend using them for any painting job you may have. Their contact info: [email protected] (707) 280-0087."

"Gene Breeden provides high quality workmanship as a master craftsman. He is detailed, meticulous, and highly knowledgeable. He sticks by his original quote. He is personable, is of high integrity, and professional. My husband and I are extremely satisfied with the end result of our deck restoration, staining. We were so happy we gave Gene a bonus since the job was more difficult than first thought. We will hire him again!"

"They also did the entire interior painting of our house in addition to the exterior. They were detail oriented, meticulous in their cleanup, and thorough. Would definitely hire them again and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of painting their home. They also have other talents and "fix" things for you that they see while they are painting. Truly lovely people."

"Hire My Husband will 100% be my go to for all my honey do's. The husbands are on time, very professional and leave everything clean. We started with one small project of painting bathrooms and the laundry room, then we decided to change our lighting and install new fans too. One of our lights is a gorgeous chandelier with about 1000 crystals and the crew was meticulous and careful to install it. The finishing touch of crown molding in the master bath and master bedroom looks gorgeous and while it was a lot of work due to the size of the space, the husbands got it installed and we love it!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

Typically, a fence requires one to two coats of stain. The exact number can vary depending on the porosity of the wood. For specific guidance, it's best to check the manufacturer's instructions. After applying the first coat and letting it dry completely, you can assess the finish. If it appears patchy, uneven, or you want a more saturated color, a second coat is recommended. An extra coat can also help cover lap marks.

Yes, many repair services include repainting to match the color of the existing siding or walls. Most professionals offer this service to ensure the repaired area blends in seamlessly.

You can only change your neighbor's fence with their permission. A neighbor's fence is their property, and altering it without their consent could constitute trespassing or property damage, which may have legal consequences. If you have concerns or disagreements about your neighbor's fence, communicate with them openly and try to reach a mutually agreeable solution. If you believe the fence violates local zoning laws or property regulations, consult with local authorities or seek legal advice to address the issue through proper channels.

Routine staining or sealing and periodic inspections to extend life.

Yes, you can paint a chain-link fence, but you don’t want to use spray paint. With the spray method, you’ll be losing a majority of your product to the air, given the size of the gaps in chain-link fences. Instead, use a paintbrush for your fence posts and a paint roller for the wire.
