"Alfredo and his crew were great. We had him install a new walk way next to the house. They did excellent work, were on time and on budget. Alfredo made a couple of excellent suggestions to improve the project. We are very happy with the result and we recommend them."

"They replaced our old redwood retaining wall with high quality pressure treated lumber. Their work was outstanding, very professional and hard working crew who kept on working during our surprise mid-May rain storm. The new retaining wall is beautiful and will most assuredly outlive me and possibly the eventual next owners. We will be having them back to do new projects."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of stained concrete can range from five years to a lifetime, depending on the type of stain used and how well it is maintained. Acid-based stains penetrate the concrete and can last 20 years or more, while water-based stains are less durable and may last around five years, especially on outdoor surfaces exposed to UV light and weather. To preserve the color and extend the life of the finish, stained concrete should be properly sealed and then resealed every three to five years. Factors like foot traffic, climate, and proper initial application also affect its longevity.

Epoxy coatings for concrete basement or garage floors are popular. These two-part resinous coatings are waterproof and highly durable, making them an ideal choice for high-traffic spaces or areas where spills are likely. However, epoxy flooring costs more to apply than concrete stains and doesn't produce a natural-looking finish.

It costs between $600 and $8,400 to stain an average-size concrete patio of around 300 square feet. The wide price range accounts for intricate stains that incorporate multiple colors and stenciling, high-end sealers, and special touches, such as stamping or concrete polishing. Prices can also vary if you need to make multiple repairs to your patio before adding the stain and seal.

Polished concrete floors also have downsides. Some homeowners, for example, might dislike the coldness of the material (though area rugs can help warm up the space). Concrete floors are also hard, which isn’t always ideal for children and pets. What’s more, these floors are susceptible to cracking, and repairs can be costly. Some homeowners might not like that installation isn’t DIY-friendly.

The concrete coating process typically requires anywhere from a few hours to multiple days to complete, depending on the size of the area, environmental conditions, and the specific type of coating being applied. Preparatory work, curing times, and the number of coats needed also influence the overall timeline.
