His bid was considerably less than the others, but we chose Mirsky over the bigger companies because he is a real person who treated us like real people and more than just a sale. Darrow took the time to explain he recommended the system he installed and why we didn't need all the bells and whistles other companies were trying to force on us. The work took a full week with permits, when we'd been quoted 2-3 days (by everyone), but we didn't mind. The rule of the triangle says fast, cheap or good -- pick two. Darrow didn't charge us a penny more than the original estimate, despite the many surprises our old setup and the inspectors presented. It's only been a week or two, but our new system is shipshape and working great, just in time for the first heatwave of summer!"

We worked our appointments around the scheduled rains, and Ken was even able to inspect earlier than the scheduled appointment when my schedule opened up. He clearly explained the work to be performed, including estimated completion time, and potential additional costs if encountered. He quoted an estimated cost of $1700. His office promptly faxed me a printed work order estimate the following morning, and I pre-paid with a credit card. Ken's crew arrived as scheduled two days later and performed the removal, and Ken arrived with the new furnace and conducted the install with his team. After answering questions and packing up, they finished several hours ahead of schedule. The heater runs perfectly and we are very satisfied with the job. There was no additional cost - we paid exactly as quoted. The only small detail was minor damage to the painted wood trim around the attic opening, which I anticipated.
