From scheduling, to multiple follow-ups and reminders, re-confirming exact appointment time, and the post-inspection follow-up, they have truly impressed us. More importantly, Michael Taib, the technician who performed the work at our home, was indeed a true gentleman and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I am familiar with the type of HVAC related work requirements, the lingo, and technician data. I quizzed him several times and he constantly responded with 100% honest and factual answers. He tirelessly worked on both of our HVAC units and performed the necessary services and repair. He was polite, courteous and clean. His most impressive talent was ensuring my wife's absolute confidence in his work after she grilled him with so many questions! We will continue to refer True Choice to all our friend and family! Amazing work and great equipment provided

The right choice installed a new AC unit only 4 years ago and has had problems every year since, mostly electrical issues. We had an electrician take a look and their assessment was the AC unit they choose was too powerful for our 2 BR condo. Either they have really poor assessment skills or they wanted to up sell us on a larger unit...wasting our money in the process. With the latest occurrence, the condenser unit broke and it was very difficult to schedule an appointment with one of their techs. How does a major part break in 4 years?! I called on a Tuesday an they couldn’t schedule anything until the next Monday. I explained to them that our tenants had a newborn and needed a working unit to combat the heatwave. Nothing. They couldn’t swing an earlier appointment. I ended up hiring another company that was able to come a lot sooner. The Right Choice is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with (IRS included). Stay away from them, I’m sure there are much better alternatives...they are not cost effective, dishonest and unskilled.

Did a thorough assessment, performed seasonal check. Unable to find any problems. Unit would not run before his visit, has been running perfectly since.

The original work was not very good. However, after I brought the problems to the attention of the owners, all problems were resolved quickly and with no additional cost. So, I am now satisfied with the final quality of the new duct work.

The vendor did a check of my water heater, which did not need any repairs.

This was absolutely the best service I could have imagined. My vents went from filthy to spotlessly clean. I feel as if I can breath again. The value for the services provides was excellent. The technician, Elie, was fantastic. He was so service oriented and treated my wife and I like his own family. He worked with us on pricing so it was affordable and he gave us a ten year "club membership" for only $999.00 which gives us ten years of maintenance, twice a year for the next ten years to keep our heating and cooling systems updated and clean. We purchased our air conditioner and furnace from The Right Choice last year and are very pleased with the units. Today Elie came to our house to check the filter in the furnace and to make sure everything was in good working order. He arrived on time, was very cordial and professional. He explained everything he was going to do and even cleaned up when he was finished.

They did a great installing both.

Installation was smoooth, it was done within a day. There was high pressure sales involed which I succumbed into as the sales guys were saying that I had fiber damage in my ducting and since I have kids in the house they said that it was very crucial that I do the change now. It was my fault to not do any more pricing research hence I was a bit gouged.

They hooked up the large HEPA vacuum to a vent in the kitchen ceiling and let it run. The only other vent cover removed was in an upstairs bathroom, the purpose of which was to show me that there was evidence of MOISTURE in that vent - a little rust on the inside of the vent cover after 38 years and some dust that was not light & fluffy due to moisture. He said the HEPA vacuum would I saw it for what it was, a scare tactic. They then tried to sell me a $2500 air scrubber used by NASA. I'm not a fool; I would never buy something like this that I hadn't had the opportunity to check out based on just their say-so. Then they tried to sell me a 5-year contract, which I declined. Then they tried to sell me a $90 life-time air filter for the furnace, which I would have had to wash with a hose periodically. I also declined. My feeling was that they only offered the Angie's List deal as an opportunity to up-sell on other products & services. I later went online to NADCA, the Nat'l Air Duct Cleaners Assoc, and found that the correct process is to remove ALL the vent covers and use brushes to loosen what was in the ducts BEFORE using the HEPA vacuum. The Right Choice's website offers no info on the method they use. It is also misleading because they have an icon at the top of home page that says they are CERTIFIED for heating & air. However, it does not say WHO the certifying agency is. Another unsatisfactory aspect of the experience was the condescending manner in which I was asked unnecessary questions: "What causes moisture?" & "How many months are in 5 years?" when trying to sell me a 5-year contract, making a big show of using a calculator to determine the monthly equivalent of the $700+ 5-year contract. By this time, I just wanted them out of my house. I recognize a high-pressure sales job when I see it. Despite the name of the company, they were definitely THE WRONG CHOICE for me.

Well, I started having problems with the AC when it got a bit hot about a week ago, but, Simon came to check the system, determined that nothing was wrong--what happened must have been a fluke. The visit was complimentary.

All he wanted to do was sell me a new furnace. Did not even give us a new filter because I had just changed ours.

The Company contacted me to figure out what happened, so that they could discuss it with the tech. They refunded my $39 as well. The rep came on a Thursday. He was young, smart, quick and professional but did no maintenance at all - which is what the special was for. He did not ask about the filter at all. He took video of the roof unit of our condo to show us its deterioration, which we didn't doubt. He said it was not maintainable so there was nothing to do, and offered to sell us a brand new unit. Cost: $14K. He offered us a program called HERO under which the payments are incorporated into your property tax bill. It sounded good. When we repeatedly asked what the deadline to do this was, he hedged the question ("It's not an advertised program, the company runs these special rate promotions and doesn't say when they'll stop.") It would have involved permitting, a crane, etc. We said we wanted to think about it, it was a huge investment we were not prepared for, etc. He said he wasn't working the next day but we could do this as soon as Monday, He called back Friday - twice - to ask if we'd made a decision, which was weird. We liked the financing idea but did our due diligence on the program and the proposed work and said we would not make a decision until the following week. We'd waited this long and hardly use the unit. He kept touting a $50 per month savings but our bill is almost never $50/month. My husband called him back once to ask a technical question. We consulted with our neighbor, a construction foreman who had replaced his own unit several years ago. He said the price should be about $10K. We used our American Home Shield policy the following week to get a second opinion for $100. The tech (from Consolidated) was much older than the Right Choice guy. He went on the roof, fixed a minor problem he found, and immediately knew to change the filter, a $1.00 fix. It was preventing proper air flow. He said most AC problems boil down to changing this filter, which you can buy at any home store. The difference was astounding. We were done. The Right Choice guy never called back after the weekend. We dodged a $14K bullet.

We knew that our unit was old and underperforming. Leo did a great job of showing us the testing equipment on the A/C and explaining the problem without a hard sell. Very informative and a good source for a new unit.

This is more like a AC and furnace CHECK UP instead of a TUNE UP. There is no tuning involved. Just checking up and looking at the unit. The technician come in and look at my AC and furnace, did some temperature measuring and changed the air filter. The technician is very polite and professional.

It went great. It turns out all was in order, so there was no other services to recommend, but the technician did a fine job. Very happy.

very well. I really didn't want to spend that kind of money but now i'm glad we did. it works great. the pricing was for 2 units. I believe it's average in our area - give or take.
