"We just bought a new place in Northridge that met all our needs, except for the pool, which had seen better days. Not only did it need to be resurfaced, the different motors for the pump, heater, salt water system and lights required replacement. It was a big job that they pulled off perfectly--on time and within the stated budget. Different teams of contractors took on different tasks; all of them were courteous, informative and excellent listeners. The back office people were equally polite and always helpful. Most importantly, the company provided the best equipment, at a price that was less than the inferior products offered by a competitor. Thanks, everyone!"

"

We didn't satisfy his initial service (which I believe was just an accident nothing to do with their quality of service), and contact them again and receive immediate positive response to come back to do the service again.  FIVE STAR service !!! Highly recommended. Reasonable price for the additional sq ft.  We have hired multiple people for different types of service needs for the new house that we just recently move in.  None of them can top Concrete & marble Transformerz's service.

"Nir from Be Green Builders Inc provided professional, detailed ideas and estimates to remodel 2 bathrooms, kitchen and upgrade all windows. The A ratings on Angie’s List are very accurate. Through his experience and expertise, Nir gave us excellent suggestions on layouts and ideas using a 3D program and pictures of previous jobs he completed. We were impressed with his attention to detail and knowledge of fixtures, faucets & materials that are functional and look good. He spent a lot of time with us, is very patient and no pressure. Unfortunately, due to economics we are not able to use BGB at this time. We would use BFB in the future."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

A concrete overlay on an existing slab can range from 1/4 of an inch to 2 inches thick, though a minimum of 2 inches is often recommended to ensure stability and quality. The ideal thickness depends on the condition of the existing concrete and the depth of any planned designs or imprints. Before applying the overlay, it's important to repair and clean the surface, then apply a primer. For specialized work like a stamped concrete overlay, hiring an experienced contractor is recommended to determine the correct thickness and ensure the new layer isn't too high or heavy. For context, most standard concrete slabs are between 4 and 6 inches thick.

Yes, it is worth repairing concrete cracks. Concrete cracks are normal, and they can be hard to keep from appearing. However, it is worth repairing cracks in concrete for many reasons. For example, it’s possible to repair concrete to the point where the repair is almost invisible. Also, if the crack is left alone, it can become bigger and more expensive to fix over time.

Deciding whether to repair, resurface, or replace your concrete driveway depends on its age, condition, and the cost of the potential work.

If your driveway is over 20 years old and showing significant deterioration, replacement is often the best option. Similarly, if the cost of repairs is 50% or more of the replacement value, it's more cost-effective to replace it. For newer concrete with minor issues, resurfacing can be a good choice, especially if you have maintained it well with regular sealing.

For a definitive recommendation, contact a reputable concrete contractor. They can assess the driveway's condition and advise whether repair, resurfacing, or a full replacement (which costs between $1,400 and $12,100) is the most sensible path.

Costs range from $3 to $10 per square foot, depending on surface damage, materials, and labor.

Most projects take 1-3 days, though curing times may require additional downtime.
