"I waited to put up a review for Pacific Outdoor Living until I could give a full story. Our goal was to fix up our backyard which had never been 'scaped before. We had POL put in a patio of pavers with a grill placed and landscape the entire backyard. We also had an in ground water fountain set up. The job went as planned on time. The different crews were extremely polite and respectful. Very professional. The job turned out beautifully but there were some issues, which thankfully POL has been willing to address. To start, they are a solid pavers company. That is their absolute strength. They know what they are talking about here. The patio and grill are awesome. We had it set with electrical wiring for both an outdoor fridge and a countertop outlet. We also had them run conduit over to a spot where we later installed a jacuzzi. They did a fantastic job. We hired them to also do the landscaping and as we learned, while they do this well, it is not their 1st expertise. They provide this in order to do complete jobs. I suspect there is always going to be loss of some vegetation after installation. This is probably the one thing you can't guarantee but there are other companies we got estimates from where landscaping was clearly their primary expertise. Nevertheless, POL has always owned anything that didn't go perfectly. The landscaping looked great but some of the sod and some of the water resistant plants didn't survive. They replaced whatever needed to be replaced. Even after the summer heat wave and drought where we were limited to watering the lawn to twice a week and had grass die. They listened to my issues which they agreed were not my fault. They owned up to the fact that the sprinkler zones were not perfectly laid out. More than a year later, they came out and just added an additional zone for the lawn, replaced some of the ground cover. In addition, the outlet on our new grill/counter shorted out with the heavy rains this winter as somehow water managed to seep under the covered outlets; they replaced this as well. It would have been more ideal if everything turned out perfectly from the beginning but with these projects, one has to assume there will be some issues. What you want is a company that stands by its work and will not balk at fixing things. POL owned it all and has impressed me by doing so. I am so impressed that I am buying a new batch of mulch from them. I would hire them again even with the landscaping issues because they did not walk away from the problems even after the initial three month warranty. They are a class act."

"The concrete and gate install went relatively quickly. The patio cover required permits which took some time. Once received, the patio went up quick and the planter brick repair was also quick. Overall a good partnership that I will hire again."

"Our front yard had deteriorated badly in recent years due to the drought and deer population. Our terraced yard had been held in place by ivy that was dead and the hillside was starting to erode. Brian from Picture Build met with me to discuss our options. Drought and deer tolerant plants were a must for us, as well as some way to hold the slopes in place. We had met with other landscaping companies before, but Brian made new suggestions that appealed to us (e.g. a granite rock wall where we couldn't build a retaining wall due to utilities easement, among other things). We decided to move forward. The next step was meeting with the design team from Remarkable Gardens. The ladies were very nice to work with and produced a design that we were very happy with. Brian then provided a budget and plan that fit nicely into our expectations. The Picture Build crew were all courteous and professional as the project moved into the execution phase. I'm home during the day, so I was present for most of the work and tended to ask a fair amount of questions. The crew were always willing to talk with me and never made me feel that I was being intrusive. We did have some change orders along the way - some expected, some at our request and some unexpected but not considered by us to be unreasonable. There was a point near the end of the project when we were not clear on the status of some some loose ends. I called Brian to discuss these issues and within 24 hours it all had been addressed. My impression of Brian is that a top priority was our satisfaction of the outcome of our project. Also, about a week after the project completion, the irrigation system malfunctioned. We contacted the project manager, Brandon, who sent out a crew to fix the problem (caused by the high water pressure we have). The installed pressure valves and it's worked perfectly since. We are so pleased with the final results. We get so many compliments. I wouldn't hesitate to use Picture Build again and would recommend them highly to anyone."

"I had a smelly old small deck that I was sick of. I heard about Top Leader through a friend, so contacted them and Eric came. Since the beginning he gave me some very good ideas for the new deck, the delivery time was pretty fast and the crew was always so punctual, respectful, and very clean. The result was this awesome open deck I'm in love with! Thank you Eric!"

From the first visit with the sales person to the last people who did the installation we found them to be true to their word and

extremely capable , trustworthy and true to their word.  The Job was completed in

a li8ttle more than two hours and we are extremely satisfied with the finished job.  We would highly recommend them.

"As soon as the contract was signed, Rick scheduled the work quickly. He came with his workers and remeasured everything. We discussed the design and he gave me some catalogues to look at designs. I selected a combination of two designs. Rick and I discussed the finish on the railings and I selected black. The railings were installed. There were a total of three different steps, each different from one another. The railings in the front of the house needed to curve with the conture of the steps. One other was just a straight forward design which was straight. The final set went in an area where I plant my vegetables. The railing needed to be spaced so I could still have access to work in the garden yet allow safety on some very steep steps.The work was completed within a few days after starting. When the final coat of paint was finished I was not completely satisfied with the finish. Rick came to inspect the work and was not satisfied either. He sent the painters back to sand and repaint all the railings. He suggested instead of the black an antique bronze might be a better choice for color. He was right. I was very pleased with the final paint.
Rick has completed several projects for me and I have been very satisfied with all the work. 
I will call him again when I am ready for my next project.

7/13/15:  I have worked out an arrangement with the company and at this point harbor no ill will towards them.

While we had multiple issues with ESI (not showing when scheduled, workers drinking alcohol on the job, substandard work which had to be redone), when the remodel was completed we thought we had a pretty nice looking kitchen.  Then, as months passed, we started noticing a lot of grease spots accumulating on the cabinet above the microwave.  When we hired another contractor for a bathroom remodel, we asked him to take a look at this cabinet issue.  He found that the ventilation kit had not been attached to the microwave nor to the air ducting of the house so the grease had no where to go.  Additionally, our contractor found the following issues from the ESI remodel:

*romax sticking out of the wall going directly into the bottom of a cabinet into a non-gain box

*electrical socket behind dishwasher was non GFI protected and had no cover plate so exposed to water

*4 GFI's, way to many for our kitchen area, were tied into one line.

Bottom line:  our contractor said the work had created a major safety issue which could result in a fire or electrocution.
