"After the gas company refused to turn on our gas due to leak, I searched for gas leak service through Angies. First Class plumbing called and I asked them to perform a test to find out the source of the leak. I agreed to pay them $360 for this service which would be applied to the repair cost should I have decided to choose them for repair. The did a pressure test, confirmed the leak. However, they guessed where the leak was. They said the leak is somewhere underground between the gas meter and where the gas pipe enters teh house (~28 feet). They told me replacing that under-concrete pipe would cost me $9000 and if I do the post repair concrete patch, it would cost $7,000. I asked them to change the whole gas pipe in the yard (b/c it was old), they said $15,000 if I do the post-repair concrete path myself. Based on their statement I signed a contract for $15,000 to replace the whole gas piping in the backyard. Before they were going to show up next day, I asked them to delay the start of the work until Monday (3 days delay). I asked another gas company to do the diagnosis. The leak wasn't in the part of the gas pipe that was going from meter to the place the pipe enters the house. He isolated the segment that was causing the leak, then the leak was gone. I can send you the diagnosis from both companies. I would like First Class piping to pay me my $360 b/c their diagnosis was erroneous. Not only would I have paid the $7000 without having fixed the leak, but I would have damaged the concrete in the yard as well. In their diagnosis, First Class is saying there are Ts under the ground etc. which is absolutely to the case. He would have seen there were no Ts had he used his borescope camera as I asked him to do. I am asking them to pay me back my $360 which is the least they should do."

"Would not trust or recommend. I had called prolific plumbing because of their stellar reviews. Kody seemed like he knew what he was talking about and sounded honest. So I explained we had a strong sewage smell coming out of our sink and he agreed to come by and see what the issue was. Appt day comes and he is with his helper. They start checking my pipes and drains and he tells me it's going to cost $350 just to remove my dishwasher bc they need to investigate further. I am desperate to find the cause of the smell and even thought it's criminally expensive just to remove the dishwasher I agree. Then they do more investigating and tests. And he floods the cabinets under my sink with water and tells me I have a pipe leak. Then he snakes my drain and runs a camera and tells me my pipes are installed incorrectly and I need to remove my cabinets, break the concrete and repipe the entire thing. What the h***. Kody then snakes the drain and pulls out mud and grease and says I should Hydrojet my pipes to buy me more time since I told him there was no way we could afford to do the concrete and repipe. He charges $550 just to do the hydrojet. for this. That is on top of the $350 so now my total is $900 and he offered me a $50 discount. Of course by this time he's scared me to death with all his talk of how everything is wrong with our plumbing. So I dismally agree to the hydrojet. He does it and runs the flood test and water is still coming out of the pipes under the sink. So basically the hydrojet did nothing and Im out $850.00 I decide to get a second opinion and had another plumbing company come out. They immediately fix the issue by connecting my drain to the correct pipe and confirmed there is no slab leak The problem was my drain was connected to a pipe that went no where. Something Kody should have told me and seen with his camera and all the "tests and investigating" that was done. All my plumbing issues were resolved without me having to break the concrete, remove the cabinets, or do any of the other crazy and expensive things Kody had suggested. I am horribly disappointed and upset with Prolific Plumbing. Either Kody doesn't know what he is doing or he is just trying to get the most money that he can out of trusting customers like myself who don't know any better. I would definitely not recommend or refer Prolific Plumbing unless you literally want to throw your money away or get conned."
