"Our home’s AC unit was 20+ years old and starting to show its age. All Valley has serviced it for the last 10 years keeping it going. They suggested a new 4 ton unit for efficiency and reliability reasons. Thank you, our summer was cool and worry free."

"We initially had another AC company come out to service our A/C as it was not working properly. They came out 2 days did some stuff but were unable to get the system working properly. We then called 72 Mechanical to come out and they were able to get the system back up and running within 2 hours of coming out. They came out when they said they would; were extremely professional and talked us through the problem as they were fixing the problem. I would highly recommend this company as they are professional and knowledgeable"

"Efreen and co. Came out within hours of my initial call and saved us. I had reached out to a bunch of a/c companies but these guys were honest, on time and very good. Luckily for me, this was only a fan motor needing to be replaced but sine my house (and unit) are about 30 years old, I’m expecting a full replacement soon and they will be my first call."

"Professional service from the beginning to the end. Ballys Builders helped us enlarge the entire kitchen space. Alex and his team was punctual, very friendly, and did the work efficiently. We liked his performance so we kept remodeling another two bathrooms and flooring on the first floor. We highly recommend them to everyone!"

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You should flush your AC drain line once every three months to keep it clear of debris and buildup. Keeping your AC drain line clean prevents clogs, backups, mold growth, and extra wear on your AC unit. If you live in a humid area or have several furry pets, up your cleaning schedule to once a month.

Dirty filters are almost always the cause of poor airflow, so they should be regularly cleaned and then replaced as needed. The fan blades can also get dirty, so they should be cleaned when the unit is turned off. Make sure that the outdoor area around the back of the unit is unobstructed. Trees, shrubs, trash, and other objects could be too close to your unit.

While an air conditioner can temporarily run with a dirty filter, it is not recommended as it will not work efficiently. A dirty filter forces the system to work harder to circulate cool air, leading to reduced airflow, increased wear and tear, and higher energy bills. This added strain can cause the air conditioner to overheat or fail prematurely. Furthermore, a clogged filter may allow dust and dirt to accumulate in your ductwork, negatively impacting air quality. It is more cost-effective to clean or replace filters regularly than to pay higher utility bills and risk needing to replace the entire AC unit.

Your central A/C unit should be professionally serviced and inspected at least once a year to ensure it operates properly and efficiently. This is best done before the peak cooling season. A full-service inspection by a qualified pro will typically include checking safety components for issues like carbon monoxide leaks, verifying cooling components and coolant levels, and inspecting electrical parts like fuses and wiring. Regular servicing enhances efficiency, mitigates potential problems, and maintains optimal performance. Because AC systems contain hazardous refrigerant, professional handling is essential.

Yes. Your air supply should be balanced. The return and supply ducts need to maintain that balance, and this only occurs because an equal amount of air should be entering and leaving your HVAC system. Changes in pressure, extreme weather, and blocking vents with furniture or your stuff can make the air supply unbalanced and cause your home to get too cold or hot.
