Central A/C - Service or Repair
Recently, my regular HVAC contractor came out for the annual service of my ac system. A few days later my ac stopped working. I was unable to reset the breaker, so I had my contractor come back to troubleshoot the system. He concluded that I needed a new condenser and coil. He emailed me a quote for over $9,000, but later reduced it to $6,500. Another quote by phone was also for $6500, and another person from a third company came out, but then never even sent a quote.
Then Leo from Air Breeze in Reseda came out and checked out the equipment only to find that the compressor itself was actually good, but that he had to replace a capacitor and burned contact points to make the system functional again.
Leo, the owner of Air Breeze, seems to be honest and knowledgeable about HVAC systems, and to have good troubleshooting instincts. I recommend him for those qualities. However, his price to check and repair my ac system seemed quite excessive, though he saved me the cost of a new one.

Worst case scenario: your air conditioning unit breaks down in the middle of a heat wave! BEST CASE SCENARIO: your landlord knows the BEST AC guy! Leo at AIR BREEZE came out the very same day, communicated with me on what the next step would be which was a brand new unit installed THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! Jesus the installer arrived on time and got right to it. They overcame the obstacle of getting the unit through the too small front door (had to go through the neighbors yard), and worked clean and fast to get us back into climate controlled comfort faster than I could believe! I truly appreciate the effort and care Air Breeze showed for us today!

Our 11 year old Central AC failed, and the company that installed it said the compressor and A-coil needed replacing, and they gave me a quote. I decided to get other quotes, and the same day - actually within 1 hour after calling - Leo from Air Breeze was on my roof examining the system with his technical assistant. He also said it needed to be replaced, but he gave me a quote 33% below the other company. He explained exactly why it needing replacing, and I said "ok lets do it". Within 24 hours they were completely done! He arranged a crane, got the compressor, the A-coil, brought his crew, got it installed, and tested. It works! Professional, friendly, economical, quick. 5 star. Thanks!

When a service person like Leo speaks at length, it's engaging, honest, and authentic. I felt very comfortable with his team from start to finish. We had a new Amana HVAC unit installed on the roof, it was not cheap and very nerve-wracking spending that kind of money. Leo couldn't have made us feel more comfortable and explaining the technical science behind everything. He was always on time, on budget, and very gentle at every step. We recently had a minor issue with the new Amana unit, not Leo's fault in anyway, he came by nearly same day at no cost, got on the roof with his partner and fixed it. That's service. I've hired Air Breeze three times, once for a repair on an older system installed by a different company, and twice for new installations and have always received excellent service at a great price. During a recent heat wave, Leo kept our old system running until he could get his crew to our house to install a new system. Though it was a small job for Air Breeze, it was a large investment for me, and Leo always finds the right system for my needs and budget. Sergio and the rest of the Air Breeze technicians are true professionals Call them first!

It?s September 3, 2016 (Labor Day Weekend) while most of SOCAL was enjoying family, beach and mountains Air Breeze employees were completing an emergency replacement of my AC system. They were able to reach out to their network and open a distributer to obtain the exact unit we needed. The team that completed the install was courteous and professional respecting out property and leaving it spotless and COOL! 5-star service!

Air Breeze installed a new central heating and air conditioning in our house in 2012. They did a very clean and professional job. The job passed all city inspections on the first time.
In June 2016 there was a leak in the drainage PCV pipe got plugged up that caused a 5x6 feet of our ceiling to collapse. We did not see any signs of wet spots on our ceiling because our ceiling is plastered. We called Air Breeze to let them know what happened and Leo the owner of Air Breeze was at my house within 2 hours of my phone called. They repaired the drainage pipe, installed a second drainage emergency drain pan and electric water safety switch and inspected the a/c unit. Everything is working perfect and he also offered to pay a 50% of my insurance deductible and gave me 5 years’ free service with 3 years of free filters, which I gladly accepted. Air Breeze did not have to offer me anything because my warranty on my parts and labor expired 3 ½ years ago. I appreciate everything Air Breeze did for us and I highly recommend Air Breeze.

Highly recommend Air Breeze. The air conditioning in our house went out and I talked to four different reputable contractors to have a new system put in. Air Breeze easily won our business - they were the highest quality contractor as well as the most reasonably priced.
Leo and his team came over to our house twice and spent plenty of time with us answering questions and giving us what we felt was a professional, unbiased opinion on what we needed and did not need to get done. At no point was there any pressure to decide immediately, nor were there any sales tactics such as if you buy now, here's a better price. What was also unique about AirBreeze was that they were the only contractor I have ever met with who provided transparency around pricing...this is in contrast to the lump sum that other contractors provide. We felt as though Air Breeze was a team of honest professionals who pride themselves on doing the highest quality work for a reasonable price.
On the day of the actual job, everything went smoothly. From the moment they arrived, it was clear that Roger, Sergio and Pedro were highly skilled technicians and knew what they were doing. They completed the job on time and left the house as clean as when they found it. They didn't even leave a screw or a washer behind. We needed to replace our air condition system. We had a few estimates from other companies; however, at the same time we contacted Air Breeze and made an appointment for a representative to meet with us. Leo came to our home and explained to us in detail what needed to be replaced and gave us an estimate. We were happy with the estimate but our main issue was we were not able to take off work so we wouldn’t be home. We worked with the crew to make sure the door was never open. They were very professional and helpful. We are !00% happy we chose Air Breeze.

I first called Leo (Owner of Air Breeze) about five years

raining that day and traffic was horrific. When Leo arrived, he was polite and
courteous. His motto was ?you are the
customer and I am here to serve you.? Having traveled for such a long way,
I thought for sure I would be pressured into buying an entire new system but
no, it was a heating coil/element. Leo
replaced it and told me the system still had some life left. I was floored. And
indeed, he was correct. The system lasted for about five more years then went
out again. Without hesitation, I called Air Breeze and I was relieved to find
Leo had not changed. He was still the polite and courteous person I met years
ago and he remembered me and the system I had!
This time I did need a new system and I was expecting it. Leo introduced me to the HERO program and I
replaced my heating system and my Central Air. The program is super and the
customer service from HERO is exceptional. Leo worked every step of the way to
keep cost down. The work has to be inspected and approved by HERO before Air
Breeze can be paid. When working with inspectors, minor delays can happen but
Leo was never in a hurry to be paid. I think of him as ?The gentleman
contractor.? I don?t usually write
reviews and certainly not this length but I want everyone to know what an
exceptional man Leo is. It?s almost hard
to believe, but it?s true. Leo has unwavering integrity and is devoted to top tier
customer service. Is he fair and will not over charge you. He is polite and tells you what he is going
to do and then does it. No surprises. My

We recently purchased our property in Porter Ranch and needed to change the AC unit , vents, etc. We looked around for a reliable AC vendor and we are glad we chose AirBreeze Inc. They were very professional even from the beginning when Leo – the owner of the company came to give us the estimate. They were very detailed, explained to us all the options with prices, time frame of job completion, etc. They also offered financing which was a plus to us. The price was competitive as well. During the installation, the technicians were very reliable, completing the job in a timely manner, always keeping appointments. Everybody was very nice, professional and courteous. We were very happy with the end result and would recommend AirBreeze to anyone that needs professional A/C services.

Air Breeze Inc crew headed by Leo was very punctual and called a day before the appointment to confirm. They are very professional and worked around my schedule as I was running errands all day. I have a baby and they were nice enough to cover my hardwood floors and wear shoes booties so as not to track dirt all over the entry way, stairs, hallways and bedrooms. Leo worked with payment plans and making it all affordable for our family and be able to enjoy summer. He supervised his crew well and kept me updated with the work progress. Air Breeze Inc works with great professionalism, truly cares for their clients and I highly recommend this company.

Our air system was not turning on so I called Leo - he sent a guy out right away - they replaced our fuse and it was fine. I had to call them back again because it stopped running again. Leo sent the guy back out that same day and found that our breaker was making the fuse in the air system break. They fixed it and we were back to cool! Thanks Leo and Air Breeze

Lior was very considerate of our time and privacy. he and his crew were neat and clean and punctual. they did more including relocating the heating and air system so they are out of the way,in the attic and on the roof, respectively. the result looks and performs very professionally. he responded to our need for a very quite system by modification until the system runs in a efficient, quite and comfortable manner. the variable speed air handler is doing a great job so far regardless of when it was manufactured. we got the best equipement and installation looks very nice form a technical stand point. they are available for continued upgrades and maintenance at very reasoable rates. he made a extra effort to get us zero interest financing so we could make this investment.

Mr. Shany full disclosed that this was not a current year model furnace. He said he made a special purchase of these units at the end of each year and sold them. I didn't care because this was no different than units made for at least the last five years as far as I could tell from my research. I believe I got very good value for the money. The three other bids were at least 25% higher with proposed work we didn't need and proposed charges for work that Air Breeze included in the package.
The installers arrived on time, took care to avoid damaging floors or spreading dust/dirt. They made a new platform and the workmanship was fine on that and the whole project. All commitments were honored.
We had some minor problem with the system a few months after the installation, but they handled it so quickly that I don't recall what it was. And, months later, the system is functioning fine.
I recommend this company for the value, the quality of the work and integrity.

They installed an air handler, and told us this was brand new. We later found out, this air handler was actually made in 2004 and the motor was belong to a completely different air handler they decided to connect to ours. We were told this was brand new, when we went into the attic we noticed it was completely rusted out.
The heat pump they told us was brand new, and we could get a discount on because it had a cosmetic dent in it. We later found out this was built in 2005 and isn't running properly raising our bill.
We were very disappointed with this company and feel they took advantage of us by selling old equipment and saying it is brand new.
This issue has been satisfactorily resolved.

"Dear Member, I have read the Angie`s list Review that you wrote and it deeply sadden me. We are deeply concerned with your experience and your opinion and satisfaction is important to us. We were hired to install an air handler and a heat pump. We really wished to do well. We provided the quote which was approximately $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 less than the other quote you had for basic entry level equipment. First Issue: AIR HANDLER The electrical power in the attic is 115 volts when it needed 220 volts of electrical supply for the air handler and that is the way the previous air handler was installed. We spent a very long time working on the electrical panel at absolute no cost to you. We also replaced and updated the breakers at our cost. We did our best attempt to work with the original electrical panel which was still at a very good condition even though it was the original one. This is why we modified an air handler that we originally had to be 115 volts just like the previous one and installed it. Something was lost in translation or you did not have full understanding of what we were doing. We wish to solve this misunderstanding and to bring everything to your full satisfaction. We will at our cost provide a new 220 volt electrical line to the attic. We offer/recommend to replace the air handler to an absolute brand new 220 volt air handler. Before replacement, we will get in writing from the manufacturer the best matching recommendation for a new air handler for your viewing and approval. Second Issue: The heat pump air conditioning condenser is a brand new ultra high efficiency 17.5 SEER with a two stage compressor. To bring the facts straight, the heat pump condenser was manufactured in 2007 and definitely not in 2005. Please note the serial number: E070527523 The equipment was opened out of its original package by us for the first time at your home and it started up. 10 years of warranty, provided by the manufacturer, started from the date of installation which is still in full force and effect. We are attaching a printout that was provided from the manufacturer and we will provide you with phone numbers you can call to validate that warranty from the start date of installation.If you are kind to communicate with us and let us do all we can to make it right by you, we will add the following: 1. We will extend labor warranty/repair service, on top of manufacturer parts warranty, until 2022 for the outdoor heat pump unit. 2. We will provide 10 years of our own labor warranty/ repair service until 2023 for the indoor air handler, should you let us replace it. 3. We will provide 10 years of air filters replacement and two pre- seasonal services a year, one before summer and one before winter, at our cost. 4. We will refund back to you $298.00, the symbolic amount that you paid to upgrade from standard efficiency equipment to the ultra high efficiency unit in question. This upgrade that you received normally costs over $2,000.00. We look forward to do all that is necessary to resolve this issue.
