Kris and Edgar showed up on time and immediately went to work taping and tarping cabinets and walls. I left them alone for the most part and checked periodically, but they thoroughly cleaned floor first then filled holes with epoxy mix that hardened immediately. Then they use a commercial buffer with a polishing compound that left and amazing shine! Even when new our floor never looked this good.

Due to some of the pits being so shallow they weren't able to fill completely but 100% better than before. And Kris, you forgot

"Gil is a pleasure to work with. After my initial contact he came by as scheduled to review the job site and meet with me. Work was scheduled that same week and completed in 3 work days. Gil’s crew was skilled and efficient. Gil did note that I had some drainage issues and recommended the addition of drains to the concrete project. His price for the drain was competitive and would insure that my side yard drainage issues that occurred during heavy rains are remedied. Gil and his crew poured/finished a beautiful new walkway. "I called CXC Contracting because I had noticed uneven floor in one room of the house. Will Crawford inspected the concrete slab under the floor and performed accurate measurements of the house leveling inside and outside the house. Despite the uneven floor, he concluded that the house did not need any foundation repair and that the uneven floor was caused by imperfections of the concrete.slab. He spent a lot of time in my house and provided an objective assessment of the house foundations not influenced by considerations of personal advantage. He provided unbiased recommendations about how to improve the floor leveling. I was very impressed by his professional ethics and technical knowledge. "We could not be more pleased with Montesinos Landscape and Design and have recommended them to other neighbors in our new community. I had an idea of what I wanted but an inability to put it down on paper. Jaime very meticulously measured out our yard and came up with the perfect plan, just as I had envisioned it. He and his crew were always timely and worked hard, all day. When we were indecisive at times, he was patient and gave us the time we needed to make decisions without feeling rushed. Maria did all the paperwork for building permits with the county and with our HOA. They laid concrete, put in artificial turf, border areas for planting, a water feature, put in electricity for overhead lights, and a raised, decorative herb garden/bed. They planted tons of plants for us, including trees, shrubs, climbing roses and ground roses and lots of bedding plants. All have flourished. They also extended our fencing and placed a gate in our existing fence to 'join' our front and back yard areas. Our dog chewed up some of our underground irrigation/pipes which was obviously not Montesino's fault but they replaced it free of charge. We are totally pleased with their work and get lots of compliments on it. We highly recommend Maria and Jaime Montesinos."

"If you want something done well, call Nir and United Builders of L.A.!  If something isn't perfect, he can't rest till it's remedied.  When the building inspector came when all  was completed he marveled how Nir had exceeded the building requirements.  My husband and I decided that whenever there is an earthquake, the safest place in our house will be on the porch!
Nir was faithful to the schedule he set and accurate as to how much time it would take.  His foreman Ricardo was industrious, affable, and conscientious.  The men were pleasant, polite, and cleaned up thoroughly every day at the end of their workday.
Nir was also very careful of his sub-contractors.  if he felt their work was not excellent and timely, he went to someone else that was.  The concrete porch is based on footing that exceeds porch requirements.  The concrete is supported by the strongest rebar.  The uprights are supported and offer support to the roof, again exceeding requirements and also making the use of unattractive knee joints unnecessary.  The roof is sturdy and supports solar panels.
Two additional things I really appreciate about Nir.  First, he has a good aesthetic sense, so that if he recommended something in terms of detail, it was always lovely.  Second, he really wanted to build what we wanted, and was careful to ask all the right questions so that he got a good sense of our style and taste.   Consequently we now enjoy our dream porch every single day.
