"very well. Glenn called me within minutes of my online request and he was very helpful and honest. He did not think I needed a plumber for the type of job I need. Nonetheless, he even made himself available to help by facetime. Great experience and I will contact him in the future if I need any plumbing services"

"I thought Water Heaters Masters was fine. The price was really good. They were right on the spot. They came right away. So they were good. The price was good. They were really good all the way around, if I'm remembering all of these correctly."

"It went really well. I called for an appointment on Monday; not an emergency, so a Thursday call was fine. There was a confirmation call the night before and then one in the morning to tell me the plumber would be there in about 20 mins. Mario Q. arrived promptly; very professional, in a mask, gloves, booties. He looked everything over and then gave us a quote. He also suggested that I use the coupon from the site - and waited while I printed it. The work was efficient - with hardware store runs, he was done in about 7 hours. He climbed under the house to make sure nothing was leaking; he did see a few areas of concern that weren't related to the work done today. We'll have to save up for those. But for now - we have a lovely new toilet that doesn't have to be jiggled, and a faucet that turns smoothly. Well done Mario."

"Plumbing 1 builders was the perfect team to come and help us with our needs. We got a full hardware replacement for our shower. They were quick and on time when it came to the quote process. They offered us the most competitive price in our area, while also being the most professional with the overall process. They didn’t try to upsell us on anything or spook us about our current set up, which did happen with other plumbers who came to give us a quote. They were quick and professional with the work as well. Everything exceeded my expectations in terms of execution. On top of that, they caught a weird error that was done by the builders and went out of their way to find a solution. We will most definitely reach out to them for any plumbing needs going forward!"

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

You can fix a leaking outdoor spigot by replacing the washer, tightening the bonnet, or replacing the spigot altogether. Turn off the water supply and open the spigot to see the issue. You may need to tighten the bonnet by 1/8- to 1/4-inch of a turn. You might also need to see if the washer is damaged or worn. If those fixes don’t stop the leak, you should replace the outdoor spigot. Consider a frost-proof sillcock to prevent future freezes and leaking.

To unclog the drain pipe, remove the machine's drain hose from the pipe or sink drain, being careful to contain any water in it. Next, use a plunger for sink drains or a plumbing snake for a wall drain. Test the repair by pouring a small amount of water into the pipe before trying it with a laundry load.

Yes, pressure-assist toilets leak, but less often than regular toilets. You might experience leaks from your toilet due to worn-out parts, water pressure in your plumbing that’s too high or low, poor installation, or cracks in your tank. These toilets are harder to fix on your own than gravity-fed ones, so it’s best to call a plumber if you can’t figure out what’s wrong,

Dirty, cloudy faucets have been stained by tap water, that is "hard water." The scaly deposits you're seeing are actually signs of calcium buildup. If you have visible cloudiness on the outside, there's a high chance you have calcium buildup in your pipes that needs to be treated.
