"This company just gets worse and worse the further I dig into them. To date I paid $105,000 on a $77,000 job. Its not complete or even close. I got an estimate today to finish @ $23,000. I am in the process of turning in a complaint to the CSLB. When I went on the CSLB website, I found more complaints on them. Just trust me. Stay as far from Tzahi Edri (aka Isaac) as humanly possible. He is the most evil person I've ever met. To take advantage of my wife and I during a pandemic like this is unfathomable. Attached are photos of their kind of work... BTW!!!! I believe many of the good reviews on the Yelp and Google are suspect!!!!"

Do not panic if you are exposed to asbestos. The illnesses associated with asbestos exposure are rare. No, but it’s common that they do. Gravity furnaces weren’t terribly efficient so wrapping either the ductwork in asbestos, the furnace itself, or both, was something done regularly. This allowed the system to retain more heat. Most manufacturers stopped putting asbestos in linoleum before 1980 due to public concerns about its toxicity. However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) didn’t ban asbestos-containing products until 1989, and a comprehensive ban was not announced until 2024. This means that homes built after 1989 may still have asbestos in their flooring.

Since DIY asbestos removal isn’t the best option to save money, there are other steps that you can take to help cut costs when dealing with this project. After speaking with your asbestos removal expert, discuss if encapsulation is an option. If it is, you can save between 15% to 25% on overall project costs over demolition and disposal. In addition, when speaking with your professional, discuss if there are any tax credits available for your removal project. Finally, check with your homeowner’s insurance to see if any removal costs might be covered. However, be aware that this is usually only applicable if the asbestos is due to a covered incident, like a tree falling into your roof.
