Get matched with top subcontractors in Moorpark, CA

"We started working with KN from a cold marketing call they placed to us. We needed kitchen granite counter tops. The owner came to our house that same afternoon and gave us a price we couldn't resist. The workers showed up exactly when they had promised, did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves and left.

Immediately after this, we found out we have water damage and mold in our kitchen. After the insurance assigned contractor took care of mold, we hired KN to reconstruct our entire kitchen that was gutted by water remediation. They changed our laminate flooring to tile, added 12 pull outs inside our cabinets and then started the meticulous work of cleaning, sanding and staining our oak cabinets. The painters spent a lot of time covering every surface with either paper or plastic to protect it against the stain spraying. And they isolated the whole kitchen with plastic curtains so the sanding dust and staining spray wouldn't damage the furniture outside kitchen.

We also asked them to take out the florescent lighting in both our kitchen and kids' bathroom and replace it with recessed lighting. The electricians did that effortlessly and the ceiling damage was repaired and ceiling painted later by the painters.

The different workers who came to do each part of the job were very responsible. They had good communication with us and kept us informed of what was coming next. They all cleaned up after themselves.

The owner was constantly in phone communication with us to make sure things are going well. I never had a phone call that was not taken care of right away. They worked weekends and holidays to finish the work faster and return our kitchen to us.

The finished work looks beautiful, all the parts match each other perfectly, the new color of the cabinets make them look brand new!

The only thing that I would have liked to see more of was for the owner to better coordinate between the subcontractors so they wouldn't get in each other's way and work most efficiently. I had to do some of that myself.
We have some more upgrades we need to do in the house and we intend to ask KN to do them for us."

"hWe called GIno about new kitchen cabinets and sink for the kitchen, plus new flooring for the living room and (long) hallway.   He gave us many suggestions and ideas, some of which we had never considered.  He first gave us an estimate on exactly what we wanted and we agreed.  However as we continued to talk he made some additional suggestions, some of which we accepted.  He then gave us an estimate on the whole project.  The cost and what was included were made very clear, as was the payment schedule etc.  We were able to pick the wood and flooring that day.
Gino gave us an estimate of 4 weeks, but the project was done in less than 3 weeks.  Gino was on-site each day to be sure everything was going as planned.  The workers were polite, on-time and cooperative.  I would have been happy to have them around any family member (not always the case in past work).  As the work progressed some of the subcontractors made suggestions, some of which we liked.  There was no pressure to do the extra work.  It was our choice.  On one part of the project we had a concern and called Gino.  It was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction.  At the end of the remodeling work we were less than satisfied with the floor molding. We called Gino and the work was completed quickly and to our satisfaction.
Gino was very communicative and always listened to our questions..  His answers were clear and he always followed through on what we asked.   We will call him again when we do further work and will recommend him to our friends.

"We recently had the pleasure of working with Adar Builders on a comprehensive home remodel in the Hollywood Hills that spanned over 10 months, and are happy to share our positive experience. From the initial design phase to the final nail, they turned our 1970's house into a modern dream home. Clear and Transparent Communication: Right from the get-go, Amit and his team excelled in clear communication. The bid process was thorough, as he meticulously went over every element and cost, ensuring that we were on the same page. It was incredibly reassuring to know that there were no hidden surprises along the way. We interviewed 6 contractors and felt the most comfortable w/ Adar Builders quote b/c of the attention to detail and transparency for item costs. Flexibility and Adaptability: Our project saw several changes and additions during construction, and all members of their team had this "can-do" attitude that left us amazed. They took on EVERYTHING we asked for, including adding a sunken living room that has become one of the highlights of our home. This level of flexibility made the entire remodel process a relatively stress-free and creative adventure. Exceptional Subcontractors: In addition to their in-house team, the subcontractors they brought in were top-notch. They seamlessly integrated with the project and worked with remarkable skill and dedication. The result was a high-quality finish that exceeded our expectations. Clarity on Progress Payments: Amit and his team were crystal clear about progress payments tied to work completed. This level of transparency allowed us to budget effectively and eliminated any financial surprises. Becoming Part of the Family: What truly sets Adar Builders apart is the camaraderie they establish with their clients. Over the course of those 10 months, the team became like family to us. The process was not only about transforming our house but also about creating a positive and enjoyable experience that we will cherish. In a city where home renovations can be notoriously stressful, working with Adar Builders was surprisingly smooth. This is our third home renovation and was definitely the best experience of them all. We can't help but smile when we think of the entire journey, from the first design discussions to the final coat of paint. Such an enjoyable experience is crazy rare in the world of remodeling. Our Hollywood Hills home is now a testament to their dedication and expertise, and we couldn't be happier with the result."
