"Dave and his crew were great. They showed up on time, went right to work and even when there was a glitch, no problem took care of it. Made sure everything worked perfectly. Helped us with the smart thermostat. I have recommended them to others already. The original costs is what I paid. I couldn't be happier then I am now. I wish I found him earlier."

"This project couldn't have gone more smoothly. From the time I first met with Tony until the project was finished, he was always available to me. They showed up exactly on time every day, and while the job created a lot of dust, there was none when they left. Tony and his crew are the consummate professionals. They completed my job in the timeframe they set forth and I feel I got a very competitive rate. Tony is one of the most honest and straightforward contractors you will ever meet. I have already discussed his doing some remodeling to my bathroom. I have also given his information to anyone needing a general contractor. Thank you Tony for the great job you did."

"I needed a smart thermostat installed and Victor, owner of United Air Heating & Air Conditioning, did a great job. He contacted me right away, quoted me a very fair price and we set up an appointment within a few days. He did a very thorough job installing the thermostat, plus took the time to explain some of the basics to me about programming it, etc. He also put down a drop cloth to protect my floor, which I noted. Other contractors have just let debris fall onto the floor (and left it there for me to clean up). He also gave me some helpful advice about my ductwork and other things. He was very personable, professional and his service was very reasonably priced. I can definitely recommend him and will hire him for any future HVAC needs. Thank you, Victor!"

"Mr. Avery called me and knew what I needed. He came out and was here in 15 Minutes. Mr. Avery was happy to give a free estimate, when everyone else that contacted me was not. Most others wanted a minimum of $80. to $90. Mr. Avery made a call to his Business and made sure they had the Part in stock that I needed. When he returned, the part was installed within an hour. He stayed to make sure that everything was safe and worked as intended. He was very professional and had a good sense of humor. I recommend 'Just Be Cool Supply' to anyone who needs Furnace repair. Mr. Avery is a Licensed Professional and the price was very fair. I will call them again if needed. Thank you Mr. Avery."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

The process involves initial consultation, concept development, detailed planning, regulatory approvals, and integration of contractor work for project execution.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.

Universal design is a design concept that states that products, spaces, and general environments are designed to be used by everyone, with an emphasis on accessibility for those with limited mobility or other special needs.

Make sure you’re getting the right size to meet your space needs, including enough space both side to side and vertically to accommodate your RV’s features and allow you to safely move it in and out of the garage.

If you’re building an attached and enclosed garage for your RV, you’ll also want to give some thought to whether you’d like to add workspace, water or electricity, or additional storage. If so, you’ll need a garage with larger dimensions.
