After we came to an agreement with Dan Betyordekom of I Construction to do the work, we braced ourselves for the disruptions and turmoil such a project typically inflicts on an active household (this was not our first such rodeo), dreading the inevitable delays that seem to be part of any construction work. When they replaced the portions of the stucco and deck railing they had removed, they didn't just paint the replaced portions-they painted the whole house wall and railing... Throughout the work, Dan was in constant contact with us to ensure that our normal routines were not affected by the work, and even made sure that the deck would be finished and usable for a baby shower we had scheduled for our son and his expecting wife.
