Solar Earth Choice is one of California’s pioneering renewable energy suppliers and, as such, offers the very best in solar panel installation. That includes both residential solar installation. In addition to our range of solar energy services, we offer practical advice on how to live and work more sustainably. You can reduce your carbon footprint as well as the cost of supplying your home with a renewable, sustainable energy source.

"We had a great experience working with Solar Earth Choice! After being ghosted (and even lied to) by multiple other solar companies it was incredibly refreshing to work with Sophia and the team, who were super responsive, transparent, knowledgeable, and patient. We were worried about not getting in before the NEM 3.0 deadline but Sophia & team handled getting all permits & applications submitted correctly & approved without any errors or delays. Even though we had a pretty large install they still managed to get it all done ahead of schedule and without any complications. Inspections & approvals were a breeze. Sophia and the entire team were so pleasant to work with, and they really made us feel well informed at all stages of the process. Incredibly professional team that did excellent work and top notch customer service."

Typical roofing repairs cost between $380 and $1,800 on average. However, most homeowners spend approximately $1,100 on a roofing repair project. The size of the roof, the extent of the damage, and the type of project all impact the final cost. External factors like product availability and supply chain issues may also affect the price.

Projects like repairing damaged gutters will only be around $180 to $560, whereas repairing a sagging roof will be a higher expense at $1,500 to $7,000.

Roof repairs start at around $700.00 and go up from there.  There are many significant factors that come into play, and each customer's needs will rarely be the same.

The cost to replace your roof is often significantly more expensive than the cost to repair it. On average, homeowners will spend between $5,890 and $12,800 to replace a roof. The size of the roof, the roof’s pitch, and the number of stories the house has will significantly affect the overall cost. You can expect to spend upwards of $46,000 for large, high-end roofs.

This all depends upon size, type and complexity of the actual sloped areas of the roof.  An accurate estimate with detailed lists of covered and additional items is imperative when purchasing and protecting yourself during the process.

Although not every state issues licenses for roofing pros, it's important to check with your county or city if hiring a licensed roofing contractor is necessary. Hiring an unlicensed roofer might result in low-quality work and potential legal issues if an accident happens. It’s always best to check the qualifications and licenses of your roofer before they begin a project.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Before hiring a roofing contractor to work on your project, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Do you use roofing subcontractors?

  • Do you offer a warranty?

  • Do you have any references?

  • How will you clean up after the project is complete?

  • Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Roofing is a highly skilled and labor-intensive trade. Because of this, you can expect to pay an average of $2 per square foot for your roofing professional. Roofing labor costs generally make up about 60% of the overall project cost.
