Small jobs welcome

"Finest Fence took a lot of time working with multiple families to come up with a workable solution. Finest Fence (FF) was not the cheapest, but choose them based on reviews. We accepted FF's proposal in totality including the suggested upgrade, except for a middle or third rail. Anything missing from the scope of our job was not due to us turning it down. While installing the new gate, the workers got spray paint on the house (pic). Awkward transition from the gate to the connecting fence. The problem was fixed, see the before and after pic. Did not connect the new fence to the old section of fence. The problem was fixed, see before picture. They removed cinder blocks that were preventing soil erosion on the slope between my house and our neighbor's house with new boards. The new boards do were unsightly and do not prevent erosion."

"my purchase with this company ran very smoothly from beginning to end!! met with PAULl, person who quoted price for fence. he is an excellent rep for the company addressed all my needs! 75 ft MOCHA COLOR FENCE was put in yesterday...wow transforms the whole property!! HARRY & SAM came over to install and boy they had their work cut out for them...because there was a tree trunk that was pushing fence back a little and gap had to be covered at an angle... and the ground under fence had cement that was irregular! they did a great job...and this was not an easy installation...took the whole day! nice guys ... and worked with me as to how much space i wanted underneath fence. all in all ....excellent! very happy with results!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In Los Angeles, combining fencing with upgrades like drought-resistant landscaping, retaining walls for hillside lots, or outdoor lighting can streamline your project. Coordinating these improvements allows you to share site preparation and minimize disruptions, especially in neighborhoods with limited street parking or narrow access. Planning multiple outdoor improvements together also helps ensure a cohesive look and can make scheduling with local contractors more efficient.

Helpful?

In Los Angeles, homeowners often misjudge property boundaries, especially in older neighborhoods where lot lines can be unclear. Choosing materials unsuited for hillside terrain or failing to account for wind exposure in canyon areas can lead to premature repairs. Overlooking neighborhood design trends or not matching existing fencing styles may also affect curb appeal and resale value, particularly in communities with established aesthetics.

Helpful?

In Los Angeles, most small fencing projects take about two to four days, while medium-sized yards may require one to two weeks. Larger properties or those on sloped terrain can extend timelines up to four weeks. Additional time may be needed for utility marking and site preparation, especially in densely built neighborhoods. Early planning and working with experienced local professionals help ensure your fencing project stays on schedule.

Helpful?

Installing fencing in Los Angeles provides immediate privacy, security, and noise reduction—especially valuable in neighborhoods near busy streets or schools. Over time, a well-chosen fence can increase property value, support pool safety compliance, and create a secure space for pets and children. Opting for materials that withstand earthquakes and wildfires means your investment remains durable and requires less frequent repairs in the long run.

Helpful?

Los Angeles’ hot, dry summers and strong Santa Ana winds require fencing materials that resist warping, sun damage, and shifting soil. Vinyl and metal fences are popular choices for their durability in this climate, while wood needs regular sealing. Scheduling installation during cooler months—typically fall through early spring—helps avoid delays from heat waves or unexpected rain, which can impact setting posts and concrete work.
