We had a roof leak last year and this contractor came out, inspected the roof, found the leak and repaired it well. This area has not leaked since and we were very happy with the work. However, our roof developed a new leak and we called this company on two different occasions to come out and give us a new estimate. They stated they were coming but have never showed up. I am not sure what happened after our first service call but they have dropped us like a hot potato. We have since called another service company.

Had to reschedule once because of the labor day holiday, but they were were responsive to finding a date and time that worked well for me.  It was great that they had early Saturday morning appointments so that I didn't have to take time off of work or change my usual Saturday plans.
They were also very responsive in answering my questions through e-mail.
They were very professional.  It took them about an hour on the roof to do the patching.  They told me that the roof was in good shape now and that I should probably have it patched again in a couple of years.
This deal on Angie's List was great as another roofer had estimated $350 to do the patching at their regular price.

"We completed a roof tune Big Deal that he had purchased for a $100. I came to his home and meet with him for about 10 minutes and discussed exactly was included in the Big Deal he had purchased and what was not included. The deal was to seal all if his through roof penetrations and paint them to protect the sealant used and blend the penetrations into the existing roofing color. He has a tan colored shingle roof and when my men came to his home on a scheduled day and time he did not allow them to complete any work because he wanted black paint for his flashings and not tan which is 100% opposite of anything I have ever done in my decade of experience. He called and explained this is what he wants and we came back to his home for a second trip and performed this work for him at no additional charge . He stated he was happy with sealing of the flashings but wanted a proposal to fix his gutter board area or to change the color of his roof. I explained that the process involed in changing the color of his roof was to install a new roof. He called me crazy and since that point forward both proposals were sent to him but no other communication has occurred. Please Angie's List community try to keep in mind there are members out there that want the world for nothing. This is one of those members. No matter what I did I could not reason this member. Please read the other reviews for my business which are advocates for my business."

These guys are punctual and professional. They did a superb job and were very clean and thorough. There was an issue with the existing fascia boards that needed to be replaced and they replaced them after-the-fact. They were professional about it and handled it well. I appreciated the fact that they really do care about their customers and go all out in doing a professional job without any hassle. Because they were very responsive to my concerns, I am confident enough to recommend them to anyone. I will use them again at the next opportunity!

After getting 3 bids, we choose Jordan Roof LA. They were the lowest bidder with the most service. Kevin Sarno described the work process and the materials to be used. The crew was here 3 days after I signed the contract. They were prompt, courteous, and efficient. The job was done in 3 hours, as quoted, including the removal of a satellite dish, and roof repair caused by the dish installation, at no extra cost. They sprayed Rust-Oleum paint on all the roof penetrations. After a thorough sweeping up, the crew removed all the debris, and hauled it away. I got a follow up call from Kevin a few hours later, inquiring me about my satisfaction with the work, and thanking me for my business. My 10 year old roof looks like new. Thanks Angie's List and Jordan Roof LA.

I have a water solar heating panel installed about 20 yrs ago.  It is already disconnected and non-functional.  Overtime, there's leak through the roof around the panels.  I called a number of roofing companies around 91748 in Los Angeles County.  I got quotes from 3 companies, including ones that with a much better reviews than Jordan Roof LA.  However, I kid you not.  The top result with the highest satisfactory rating came to my home, said the job is too small and don't want to do it.  I was like w**.  This is a top reviewed roofing company?  I selected Jordan Roof LA at the end, because I feel like Kevin is courteous, honest and professional.  Kevin is great to work with.  He answered all the questions that I had throughout the process.  His team also took many before and after pictures so that I know what was worked on and the condition of my roof w/o actually being up there.  They have also picked the spanish tiles that color matches to my existing tiles.  I can't really tell unless I walk up close and see the tiles are newer.  Also, the crew cleaned up well after they left.  I definitely would call them again if I need any more roofing work done in the future.

The tear off crew arrived on time and tarped all the perimeter areas to prevent the rock roof from entering into flower beds and other areas. They completed the task before 1p.m. The roofers began to repair the space sheathing, 600',and tear off the damaged fascia, 200'. The next day they were preparing for insulation and installing the catwalk. The next day all the fascia was replaced, the insulation blown in, the space sheathing nailed down and a progress inspection. The next day the underlayment installed and they started finished roof. By Thursday, early afternoon they were finished. Bill Jordan, the owner, estimated five days of work, they finished the apartment building in three and a half days. I had inspected the roof progress daily and met with Bill Jordan the first day and followed up with the roofing foreman, Eddie, thereafter. They both were knowledgeable and explained the details of each step. I was pleased with the installation, the professionalism of the roofers and the office staff. I have another roof to replace and will use their company again.

Ken is the man!!! If you were to look up the words "professional", "courteous", and "reliable", there would be a picture of him and his cute dog. He is a careful listener. He explains everything in detail. His price quote along with the work that he plans to do is very detailed. He is quite friendly and very easy to talk to. Once the work is done, he shows you exactly what was done. His crew is very friendly as well. They clean up after they are done with little to no indication that they even showed up at your house. Do not hesitate to get a quote from Ken. I have a garage that he will be doing because his customer service is exemplary. To say that I am happy with the work and how he treated me as a customer would simply be an understatement.

I first contacted Kevin Sarno regarding an estimate on our roof.  he promptly came to our home the following day.  From the beginning, it was not about wanting the job of roofing our home, but instead it was about the opportunity for him to provide a service to us.

He was polite, knowledgeable, and took the time to survey our roof.  He located our problem which included two leaks over the den area in the reat part of the home. he said the front portion of the roof was still in good condition and we could hold off replacing that for another five years.  I asked for two proposals: one for the rear part of the home only and another for the entire home.  Kevin returned two days later with a very professional proposal for both potential jobs, including detailed information about his company, the reputation of his employees, and samples of materials.  he never displayed high-power pressure or tried to influence us on which way to go.  He simply wanted the opportunity to serve us professionally.

We elected to have the entire house roofed.  Since our house had three previous roofs, city code required those be removed before installing a new one.  I called him to schedule and after checking with his crew and the current weather report, work was to begin the following Monday.

As planned, his crew showed up on Monday morning and removed the old roofs.   Tarps were placed on the ground to catch any fallen debris such as old roof pieces, wood, or nails.  This protected not only our home, but our neighbors' as well.  They also installed plastic in the attic to catch any debris that may have fallen during the removal of the old roofs.

On Tuesday, the plywood was delivered and installed.  The city inspector approved that portion of the job.  Later that day, the shingles were delivered and stacked on roof.

On Wednesday, they started roofing the home.  During this process, his men were knowledgeable, worked without loud music and has Kevin promised, they treated our home as if it were their own.

By midday Thursday, the roof was complete.  The installation was finished and all touch up, replacing vents, and putting on a primer paint was done.  Before the job was done, one neighbor came down and asked Kevin for pricing on their home as well because he was so impressed with the work installation done on our home.

We had two of the three previous roofs put on our house done by different contractors.  This roof and process by Jordan Roofing was by far, the best and smoothest from start to finsih.  Kevin and his employees were courteous, knowledgeable, and I found nothing to complain about in any area. Kudos to Jordan Roofing!

Jordon Roof reroofed a portion of a flat roof we had and relocated a drain off that roof.  The work was much more extensive that we originally planned because we asked them to change an entire drainage system off the area.  They were able to accomodate our request immediately.  They took care of everything.  I would definitely use them again.

First of all I was contacted by Kevin Sarno within a day.  This might not seem that important but he was calling me from the hospital where his firstborn had just entered the world.  He apologized for the wait and informed me why he had taken so much time to get back to me.  I could tell that this was a man to whom punctuality and professionalism were important.
He showed up and was very thorough with me in regards to the costs as well as the options available to me for my roof.  He took the extra time to explain to me some roofers' jargon.
I had a few different estimates but in the end Kevin was able to work with me on a price that I know was incredibly fair to me.  For the amount of work that was done I am incredibly happy with the cost.  I recently bought this home and the damage to the roof was becoming an increasing concern to me.  Like many people nowadays I did not have a huge amount of money to do what seemed to be an insurmountable undertaking.  It was a relief to know that he was willing to work with me on a relatively small job given that his company does some very large projects and is constantly in demand.
On the day that we agreed upon the workers came and tore off the roof.  All in all they pulled off over 5 layers of shingle.  Since we had agreed upon 3 layers (some parts of the roof had additional layers), Kevin did not charge me any additional for removal and disposal.  The following day they began in earnest to repair damaged sections and change out wood that suffered from dry rot and termite damage.  On the third day they repaired the flashing and laid all of the shingle.  They also demolished the carport and hauled that away.  The edges on the roof are seamless.  The "cricket" area (the portion of the addition that connected the house to the converted garage) was also repaired beautifully.  His team had used a different material to form a proper runoff to avoid water pooling.  That had been the initial problem that had my home in a dangerous predicament.
In 3 days the appearance of my home went from "fixer-upper" to a point where neighbors were coming over to ask about who had done the work on my home.  It looks beautiful.  Kevin was in contact with me each day and if there were any issues he contacted me to let me know what they were and how they were going to be rectified.  He was a consummate professional as were the men who arrived to my home in a timely fashion each day and worked tirelessly in 95 degree heat to complete the job.  They were polite and did a nice job cleaning up any mess that was left at the end of each day.  It was clear that the team at Jordan Roofing has had a lot of experience providing the type of service that keeps people satisfied.
There are probably things that you need repaired in your home that you might feel okay about saving a few bucks by not going with the best materials or construction company.  A roof is not one of them.  I am so excited to have a beautiful new roof on my home and I feel assured that I won't have to do it again until the only hair I have left is grey and located around my ears.  I strongly recommend Kevin Sarno and Jordan Roofers for any kind of roofing job that you might have.

Kevin came to our board and presented a bid that would do an extensive patching job on our roof since we are not in financial position to get a new roof. He worked with us on the price and was able to come up with a number that the HOA was comfortable enough to spend in order to get our roof in some kind of working order. Once we had the approval, I called Kevin Sarno on a  Thursday saying we could move forward and as fate would have it, they were able to come out the next day and get everything done. The job was expected to take one day. His crew showed up on time  and were very nice and professional. Unfortunately, our roof had been littered with left over items over the years from tv antennae to old paint cans (don't ask me why). His crew went up on our roof and not only sealed and patched every nook and cranny, they removed all the extraneous roof junk. They were done way before the expected time. There hasn't been a rain to test our roof however I am confident that we shall be leak free. If not, Kevin has guaranteed his work and will come out an address any issues that may arise. This is just phase one in our building getting a new roof. We look forward to working with Kevin again once we're ready to move forward with a complete replacement.

The guys from Jordan Roof were excellent and professional.  They even waited for me to get home to clean out my garage so I wouldn't get nails in my tires.  They Came when they said they would and cleaned up after job was done each day.  The pricing is always fair and they work hard!  I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a new roof or solar tube (which is the awe of our friends!)

Kevin Sarno came to give me an estimate days before Christmas when my roof started leaking into my kitchen. I was incredibly stressed out because the other roofers that came out all told me I needed to replace the roof, for $12-17,000. Kevin came early in the morning in the pouring rain and told me that my roof had at least five more years of life maybe more, and that the problem was just with the seams. He repaired all the seams within a couple days, and then came back out twice over the holidays to check in and see if everything was okay. He only charged me $3200, and the customer service he provided reminded my family of the "good old days" when customers were treated like family members. He continues to follow up with me every few months, and I have referred him to my realtor in hopes that people looking to buy a home in LA have him do the roofing estimate. He has also offered to provide me with names of other contractors and repair specialists that he personally approves of and his referrals always get me discounts with those other professionals.
In short, Kevin Sarno and the team at Jordan Roof LA it top notch, he saved my Christmas, and I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again for both roofing and referral needs for my home.

It went really well.  I liked that their schedule was flexible and that they worked around my schedule.  I appreciated that.  The gentleman running the job was really attentive, on site, and communicated very well.  He came out several times before, during , and after work began.  The crew was good also.  They were very professional and left the job very clean – no debris or trash.  Just an all-around professional, top notch job.  I have used them before, that’s why I called them.  I’m glad to see they provided the same level of quality again.

Member Comments: OMG! I cannot say enough about how wonder Jordan Roof LA is. I am a value shopper who collected 5 estimates for the owner prior to recommending Jordan Roof LA. We live in a Spanish style Duplex built ~1929, 1/3 Tile & 2/3 Flat Roofs with Flat roof Garage. The choices for flat are Torch down or Hot Mop. Either one are good with an experienced roofer. The key to Hot Mop is Temperature. Torch down limits tar odor and is good, cleaner too if sheets are fully torched to manufacturers specs. BUT Some Contractors will only do edges & seams to cut back on propane cost. Hot Mop is as good or even better providing the tar is the right temperature and spread generously. Being a painter by trade, I have exposure and understanding to most types of construction and estimate real cost of labor & materials. I had lower bids than Jordan Roof LA but due to questionable License, Insurance and Worker Comp coverage, I did not choose. The higher ones were just that. Higher. Some things you have to do right, start to finish. Kevin Sarno was the Jordan Roof salesman I dealt with. He's young, but don't let that fool you. He is very experienced and knows his job inside and out. His grandfather started the business in 1938 and took Kevin on jobs when he was old enough to climb a ladder. I didn't tell or show him any of the other bids. All I told him was what I was hoping; That he'd come in right in the middle, or average. Kevin came back the next day with a bid just south of center!! He reviewed all the easy to understand contract terms clearly and concisely answering all my questions. I told him if he'd accept the Angie's list 10% coupon and adjust the price, I'd hire him. He accepted and adjusted the contract total, right on the spot! This really amazed me as it brought the total barely over cost of Materials and Labor. Jordan Roof LA is no small operation. They have 30 full roofing crews, all company trucks working out of 5 Warehouse locations. Having "AAA" rated by BBB, CertainTeed "A" rated, 3 State Contracting Licenses, Workers Comp covered, Bonded & Insured for over $20M, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how they could afford to compete with the lower end of the bids carrying so much "overhead.". Kevin explained 2 main reasons. 1. Virtually NO debt. 2. Sheer VOLUME of work. So much, (30M annual gross revenues) that Materials Manufacturers gives Jordan Roof LA a discount not many contractors qualify for. D&B Rates Jordan Roof LA overall risk LOW. Credit Score HIGH. The over-all experience, quality, workmanship, courtesy and respect we were given was the greatest one could hope for. It was so good in fact, I immediately contracted Jordan Roof LA again for another building! Trust me, if you're lucky enough to get Kevin Sarno, and Jordan Roof LA. you'll be more than happy. Elated is more like it. Kevin gave me his personal number to back up the Jordan Roof LA guarantee.
