"After calling Able Rain Gutter I promptly received a in person quote for new gutter installation but required a second visit from the owner for the roofing (drip edge) installation as it is considered roofing work.  Promptly received a call from the office to schedule a time for the visit. The owner himself came to take a look and provide the quote.

I received 5 estimates in total.  Some gutter companies do not perform roofing work and thus would not install the drip edge.  Some companies were from guys working out of their homes/pickup trucks. There is a real difference in the types of companies out there performing work so do your homework. Able Rain Gutter was the highest estimate of all 5.  In talking to the owner about the job  and reviewing Angie's list I believed their work would be more comprehensive and professional (I did some roofing/gutters back in the day), so I chose them over the others. I'd rather pay a couple hundred more for a job done right than a cheaper one done quickly and poorly. The drip edge is to be installed before the new gutters would go up.

Come to the day the work is to be performed I'm told the roofer is out sick so the gutters were installed instead.  They were professionally installed and I am super pleased with the result. I didn't receive any calls about when the roofing work was to be scheduled so I was forced called them  couple times to check status.  I didn't mind the delays as it's August and not raining.  About a week later the roofer came out and started work. Two full days later the work was complete. The work performed was 100% more than I had expected  and I feel I got my moneys worth.

A side from some communication issues overall I am very pleased with the work performed. It hasn't rained yet so I can't yet comment on if the work was performed correctly.  I have little doubt it was but will update this review later after some more experience with wetter weather.

"After calling several companies, I decided to choose this one because they were the only ones who explained everything in detail which included making me aware that our roof had multiple layers and these layers needed to be addressed with 2 x4 so it would drain correctly. The colors also matched better to the color of the house and trimming. The company made me aware that they were busy and when the next appointment was available. Within a few days, I had compared quotes and sent the quote signed to accept the work. I received the called the next day and scheduled the appointment. Then they called me to reschedule very early that day because it was raining massively and could be dangerous. I agreed and had the work done at the end of the week. 2 men came over and did all the work very well. They painted the 2 x 4 to the color of the trim and the gutters were installed correctly. No gaps, no leaks, no weird corners or nails lose. The gutters are working well, and my husband and I are extremely happy.
