"Mike was called to clear an untimely (let alone super nasty) clog and backup in my home's sewer system around 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. It was a stormy night and he was out quickly to take care of the clearing of the (yuk) debris and digging out of a secondary driveway drain that was filled with other debris left by a construction crew doing some work on my driveway. Mike cleared out the drain area and the overflow area too. 5 stars all the way!!"

While you can drain water softener backwash into a septic tank, doing so may cause several problems. One problem is that increased sodium chloride levels from water softener backwash can kill septic tank bacteria, decreasing the effectiveness of this wastewater treatment system. Another issue is that large calcium deposits can eventually stop up the drain field and lead to poor drainage. 

Most professionals recommend that a deep well pump shouldn’t run more than 10 hours consecutively before cycling off. Overworking the well pump beyond the recommended amount can prematurely wear out your pump and burn out the motor, which means replacing it more often than you otherwise should need to.
