"Cristian, Michael and their crew did a great job with our 4 unit HOA Building. It was a complete job, including siding, trim, decking, stucco, fencing and ironwork. The job was done to our complete satisfaction. We couldn't be happier as they did everything they said they'd do. Thank you CG Pro Painting."

"I wanted to love this company as their paperwork was very professional and the rep was very personable. However, when they said they would sand the roof and deck, it turns out that very little was actually sanded before they lay down a solid stain. They did spray and back fill the whole deck, the roof, the trim around a window, and the wood under the fascia, along with the entire railing around the deck. It looks much better, although I can see flakes of the old paint that were pasted down with the new spray, and part of the roof was not covered very well. The rep said that the work was guaranteed for 3 years, but that is not mentioned in the paperwork I received. I would have felt better if the cost had not been so high. I guess I expected perfection for $3,000."

"Raul was top-notch from start to finish. His workers are amazing and I am very very happy with the results! He was reasonable and excellent at communication. I would recommend him to anyone! He uses excellent quality paint if someone is going to work that hard and repainting the whole place it should be done with the best paint."

Small jobs welcome

"As a contractor, I have hired Alex and Ruben for numerous jobs over a 3-year period. The jobs they completed for me were interior drywall/painting, exterior stucco repairs/painting, power washing, fence and window wrap staining, garage slab epoxying, light carpentry work (baseboards, wall extensions, door casing, and fence repairs), LVP installation, and hanging barn doors. They always showed up on time ready to work, did excellent work, and most importantly were wonderful with my customers. Since moving back to Seattle I still have customers reaching out to me and am continuing to refer them to AR Coatings due to the excellent work and customer service they have always provided. I recommend Alex and Ruben for any job from the list above."

"If you want painters that are very considerate, hardworking and are very reasonably priced, then look no further. Do yourself a favor and at least meet Marco Reyes to get a quote. We are so glad that we did and went with SD Pro Painting. Marco has great communication and always asks before assuming on the project. They not only painted the exterior of our house, but they also replaced several wood trim sections that were in extremely bad shape (which we knew about), prior to painting. They also did many extras that we did not ask for or expected, i.e., buying new and attaching address numbers to the house, cutting up the old trim they removed and cutting down a bush for us that we were not able to complete. We have never had such a wonderful experience with a contractor. They were a blessing, and we will always recommend them to our friends and family. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did. They are wonderful!!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

In most cases, sanding an old deck before staining it is necessary to achieve a decent finish. If your old deck has a relatively new stain finish on it and you're only doing touch-ups, you can generally skip the sanding part. However, if your goal is to make the deck look and function better, sanding first is a must.

You don't need to seal your deck after painting it because most exterior paints are waterproof and weather-resistant. While stealing is not necessary, it can add an additional layer of protection.

It’s a good idea to sand your porch before painting. This will remove loose or chipped paint and debris, and give you a cleaner surface so that your new paint goes on smoothly. But if the existing surface is in good condition, it’s not necessary to sand your porch before you paint.

When applying multiple coats, wait four to six hours for each coat to dry. Not waiting long enough can result in streaks, peeling, and uneven color. Plus, it will be more difficult to discern where the second coat has already been applied.

It's okay to walk on a newly painted deck after about four to six hours as long as the weather has been dry. Be sure to wait at least 24 hours before you place any outdoor furniture or grills on a freshly painted deck, though.
