"I called Superior Window Solutions for a window tinting treatment quote for a few windows in my home as I was experiencing too much heat and glare.
Virgil Ryan, (the owner/operator) answered the call and was able to answer all of my initial questions easily, accurately and confidently. This guy really knows his product and industry!
He was then able to schedule a no cost / no obligation in-home consultation for within the week. When the day came for the visit, he was very prompt and professional from the very start. He brought various samples and product information with him and was able to illustrate how the window film would help and what to expect during and after the process. It was quite a lot of information, however, he was very patient and helpful in helping me to fully understand the product and investment.
He spent about two hours with me measuring the windows I was concerned about and then kindly proceeded to measure the remaining windows so that I would get a full and comprehensive bid. He broke the cost down to every room like a menu for selection of what I wanted or didn't want.
When he finished, he simply asked if I had any other questions! It was amazing, he never even tried to "sell" or "close" or pressure me into anything unlike a couple of the other company representatives that showed up later!
I am always a skeptic when it comes to customer service, and I was completely blown away by the professionalism and courtesy extended to my by Superior Window Solutions and it's owner!
Needless to say, after a kind (and once again very professional) follow-up about a week later by Mr. Ryan, I awarded Superior Window the job.
The day for the installation arrived and once again he was on time and fully prepared.
The installation went very smoothly and I could not have been happier with the care that they took in protecting my furnishings and decor during and after completion. They even finished ahead of schedule!
Once the film was applied to the glass I could immediately see and feel the difference and the temperature and glare...it was wonderful!! The film seemed to disappear as if it was always there except it was now much more comfortable and inviting in the areas I had treated. The affect was so pleasant that I then asked if they had time or any more of the film to do a few of the other windows in the house. They happily said "No problem Mrs. Vollrath,  we would be happy to! We always try to allow for more time and bring extra film just in case this happens, as this does happen all the time!"
They did the rest of what I wanted, and then cleaned up nicely. My home looked better than when they got there!
In conclusion, this was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with any service provider and I have and will always recommend Superior Window Solutions to everyone I know!"

"Ivan, Sam & Victor Trust me when I say these three gentlemen comprising this team are true all stars. Professional, on time, expert, proficient, hard working & very neat. This would be the 2nd second property in the past 12 months weâ ve used Renewalâ s by Anderson for window and slider replacement along with the 2nd time we used this same installation team of (3) three: Ivan, Sam & Victor. Truth be told, we requested this team by name on our new home because of the fantastic job they had done on our previous property. We were so satisfied with their work and final product we decided the expense to complete another upgrade on our new house was well worth our investment. Bottom line more than satisfied with our Anderson products but more so with the professional team than was sent to remove the old hardware & install the new upgraded glass. Keep up the good work Anderson corporation."

"

If you have anything you need done in your home, do not pass go -- just call Dave!  This is the third time I have used him at my  rental property.  I emailed him and told him what needed to be done.  We set a date and he was there AHEAD OF TIME, along with a helper.  He had already fixed the screen door before I got there, since he could access it from the outside.  He either put in new rollers or adjusted the existing ones and cleaned them and the tracks.

As for the glass door, he had to remove it to look at the rollers.  This was quite a difficult job, as it was difficult to remove, and then the glass was extremely heavy.  But he and his employee did it.  He looked at the rollers and determined that I didn't need new ones, but that the old ones could be cleaned up.  They had gunk all over them and could only be cleaned and greased properly with the door off.  (He actually told me he looked to find new rollers before he came to the house in anticipation of having to replace them, but there were 25 rollers to choose from.  He said if there were 8 or so, he would have purchased them all and returned the ones he didn't need.  Talk about being prepared!)  The door slides great now.

The kitchen faucet moved at the base.  You could literally move it 180 degrees.  My crack contractor who had remodeled the kitchen months before had not tightened it enough.  Dave had a little trouble with it because he said the nut had rusted a little due to some water on it.  But he was able to tighten it and now it works great.  He also discovered, on his own, that the air gap was loose and tightened it.

He is a pleasure to work with.  He is honest, punctual and efficient.  You can't ask for any more!

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Replacing a glass pane is much less expensive than replacing your entire window. The average person will pay between $180 and $400 to replace a glass window pane. This price can vary based on a ton of factors, including labor costs in your area, special window treatments, and the number of panes on your window.

This can be a matter of personal preference, but a good rule of thumb is to center your bathroom mirror over the sink’s faucet. In some cases, if the sink is off-center in the vanity or  you have multiple sinks in the same vanity, you may find it more aesthetically pleasing to center the mirror over the vanity.

You should avoid multi-surface cleaners, bleach, and any cloth or scrubbing material that has a rough surface when cleaning mirrors. Multi-surface cleaners and bleach will get smudges and debris off of the glass, but they more often leave behind cleaner residue because they don’t evaporate like a glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Additionally, any abrasive material or even the scrubbing side of a sponge can scratch your glass or coatings on the glass, gradually making the mirror look hazy.

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.

Yes, you can resilver old mirrors without any issues, and in many cases, it’s is the only way to maintain and preserve old, antique mirrors. Resilvering involves stripping the old silver off of the mirror, replacing the silver, and adding a protective backing to the glass. The process costs around $15 per square foot of glass, making it a relatively inexpensive solution for making older mirrors functional again. You can buy a DIY resilvering kit, but we strongly recommend hiring a professional to avoid additional damage and mistakes.
