"Very responsive. Plumber (Jenri) came on a Sunday morning and had everything fixed up in no time. Very reasonable cost, as well. Will definitely work with them again. Many plumbers with whom we have worked in the past have been of questionable quality and integrity. No similar concerns with Bill Metzger Plumbing!!!"

"We had to get our house repiped right away. I called Hanson Plumbing where I talked to Bonnie. I told her the situation, and she got Mike Jr. out to the house the same day. They were both helpful and courteous. They were able to fit us in the next day due to the situation with us being out of water. I got 3 quotes on repiping the house. They were all pretty close to each other but the other 2 were more interested in telling me about their warranties instead of their service. Mike and his crew got there in the morning and finished up in one day. They were very organized on how thy did the job. They were all nice, and talked me through everything they were doing. They keft everything cleaned up and neat when they left. I will use them again for any other plumbing issue. I would rather us a family oriented service than some corporation. Thank you Hanson Plumbing for a wonderful job."

"Irish and his associate Ryder were very good at communicating, even over a weekend, and although I initially thought the project was an easy drain clearing, 2 other plumbers failed to come up with an appropriate plan. Ryder made every effort to find a cheaper way to solve the problem, and only when those did not work, did he resort to a more complicated solution and at that stage he also worked to help keep our costs down. I appreciated the timeliness, thoughtfulness, and his clear and precise communication which also highlighted how experienced he was with this particular plumbing issue."

"Tommy came out to look at the problem I had with my water heater and gave me his best options to get the job done. Tommy was very professional and explain all details. We scheduled them out the next and they completed the job professionally. I will refer this company to everyone who is looking for a plumber. Thank you."

"Matt did an outstanding job replacing the water heater that was inside the home elevated above floor level and inside a closet. Other plumbers simply refused to bid on the job once they had heard the specifics. Not Matt. He showed up on time. Ready Willing and Eager to get the job done and he cleaned up after the work was done so that you couldn't even tell work had been done in the home."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Rough-in plumbing can take anywhere from three to five days for a pro to complete. The exact time to complete this job depends on several factors, such as the size of your home, the number of plumbing fixtures, and how accessible the plumbing system is. If any complex plumbing problems come up during the process, it might extend the length of your project.

In the United States, a depth of 36 inches (three feet) for underground water lines is the accepted industry standard. This depth varies from location to location based on local conditions. In areas with colder winters, they may be buried deeper to prevent frozen well water pipes : This is usually at least six inches below the frost level. The International Plumbing Code calls for a minimum of 12 inches below grade.

The most practical and common setup is a toilet that connects with the sewer line or a septic tank. However, it is possible to install a toilet without a sewer line, and this can be particularly helpful in basements with no or outdated plumbing. An increasingly popular option is an environmentally friendly composting toilet. Other waterless options include incinerating or dry flush toilets, which pull the waste into an airtight container.

Replacing faucets isn’t the easiest task, but with the tools and technical know-how, you can complete this project in an hour or two. If you don’t have any experience installing faucets, you’ll want to hire a plumber to do the work. The average service call cost of a plumber is $333, but it can also give you the opportunity to learn how to install one for future reference.

For most homeowners, a plumbing inspection costs $100 to $500. It depends on the location, the type of inspection, and the size of your home. A simple visual inspection will cost up to $200, while a camera inspection that checks your underground sewer lines can cost more than $1,000. Nonetheless, this may still be a better option than tearing up your underground plumbing to find the problem.
