"I was contacted by two plumbers. The first wanted me to find the part on my own, then maybe they could fix the toilet. Wilmar came out the same day, called the supplier from my house and came back the next day with the right part. Quick, friendly and I will call him again if I need a plumber1"

"Felipe came to helped us on Sunday night with a reasonable price. Got the junk out of the pipe, showed us inside of the pipe with the camera, told us where is the pipe penetrated by the roots and also proposed new way to replace the main sewage without dig things open all the way. "He was wonderful! We had several issues with our toilet and system being backed up because employees/clients flushed items down the toilet over several months. Each time we had an issue, Jess came out promptly and fixed everything. He is always friendly and helpful. When a large section of our pipes needed to be replaced, he fixed it, did an excellent job AND even came out over the over a holiday weekend! We will continue to use Jess whenever we have plumbing issues!"

"I met Gert when we hired him to replace our Tankless water heater. I was so impressed with is knowledge and concern to make sure the installation was neat and clean. The piping is literally a work of art. We met with Gert and Sergio to discuss the next phase. They removed all the galvanized pipe and installed 3/4" copper with a true hot water recirculating line for Tankless recirculating pump. Before they started work, they came in and placed protective covers over the hardwood floors. Sergio and his team replaced all the cast iron drains with ABS. They even opened walls where needed to get to the old galvanized drains to the sinks. They pulled up toilets and replaced the old flanges with new ones. All that's left is the sewer line from the house to the street. We will be calling Gert and Sergio when reach that point. Gert, Sergio and the whole crew have something you do not see that often anymore. That's integrity and concern for their customer. Also very conscientious of keeping our home clean."

"My sewer line was backed up and I had sewage coming up through my bathtub and sinks. Ron and Cesar came out right away and were able to clear the line! They showed me what they saw with their camera line and they noticed a bunch of wet wipes stuck in the sewer line. Looks like I’ll need to talk to my wife about that… Thank you again Ron and Cesar!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Yes, frozen pipes can cause a toilet to stop working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which can lead to two main problems. First, the supply line to the toilet tank may be frozen, which prevents the tank from refilling with water after you flush. Second, the drain pipe itself can freeze, blocking water from flushing away. As a temporary solution for a non-refilling tank, you can manually add water, but this is not a long-term fix. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try pouring warm water into the toilet bowl or tank and then flushing, as the warm water may help thaw the ice blockage. Ultimately, the best course of action is to unfreeze the affected pipes to restore your toilet to full functionality.

Yes, $5,000 is a healthy budget for a DIY bathroom renovation. It can go a long way in making the space more accessible and stylishly spa-like. Providing you stick to modest materials and don’t make any major plumbing or structural changes, you can upgrade fixtures, retile, and add some stylish bathroom accessories and savvy storage solutions to maximize the space.

If you need to repair part of your plumbing, it will cost an average of $330. The cost of plumbing repairs is influenced by several factors, including the type of drain and the specific repair needed.

Recaulk your toilet at least every five years. If you feel like your toilet is getting wobbly before that, it still might be time for a new caulking. Never directly place new caulk over existing caulk because that doesn’t produce lasting results. Also, caulking over existing moldy caulk does not kill out the mold by suffocating it, so if you have mold, be sure to get rid of it before recaulking.

Depending on the issue and materials, costs range from $150 to $500.
