"The crew started at the agreed upon time and removed the old roof within a few hours; they repaired some rotten wood put on the new felts, and they managed to put on the new roof (composition shingles) within the same day. The only remaining work was installation of all the flashing, and by noon the next day everything was finished - granted, this applied to a small house. I was especially impressed seeing how well these guys were organized; for example, while all the surroundings were covered by tarps they put out, they even walked with a magnet around the house to find nails that came off when the old roof was replaced.
I dealt with Dale Carstensen, and this was very pleasant; he explains the options without just recommending the most expensive solutions, and while I am sure one can find cheaper companies, their quote was 20% below that of another highly reputable roofing company.
