"G3 Environmental (Jason & later Josh as I recall) responded to my residence regarding a mold issue and mold testing. Services provided were reasonably priced, efficient, and professional. After that, G3 Environmental provided information about mold remediation and repair services which led to my selecting a very good company for remediation and repair. 5 stars for G3!"

"I requested asbestos-containing mastic be removed from my concrete slab floor without chemicals. I was told on the phone it could be done and concrete would look new. However, a couple of days before, I received an email indicating it would be scraped down so it would just not be 3 dimensional. I called to discuss this with the person I first communicated with and was assured it would be completely removed, though my concrete floor would not be the same color as if chemicals were used. The final result is the mastic is scraped so it is level to the floor, but the color of the floor is dark where there was more mastic. To All Clears credit, I think they did about as well as could be done by scraping. It would probably require some additional methods to clean slightly below the surface. I appreciated that the workers that removed the mastic were steady, hard workers. I would have preferred to see the workers use protective equipment for their own use."

"Colin is available anytime. He went way out of his way for me when he understood my situation. He talked to my tenant and to me. He gave me important information and names of restoration companies and even told me how I could work with insurance. He also cancelled a job last minute without charging me. I am so impressed by his knowledge and work ethic."

"I don?t usually write reviews, but I was so impressed with Adam?s Restoration that I had to. After a small kitchen fire in our Phoenix home, we needed help fast. The crew showed up first thing in the morning, handled the cleanup, and removed the smoke smell completely. They were super knowledgeable and professional, and they kept checking in to make sure we were happy with the results. You can tell they take pride in their work. It?s nice to find a trustworthy local business in the Phoenix area that actually delivers on their promises. I?d give them 10 stars if I could!"

"We can't say enough about Zona Restoration. We called, they set up an appointment to come and give us a quote within an appropriate time frame. They came, were extremely cautious about sanitary conditions, talked to us, took their time and were very precise. They got back to us with a quote within the 2 day window, and gave us a very reasonable quote. We scheduled right away, and they were on time, professional, friendly, and over the top wonderful. They did a flawless job repairing our walls and painting. We have textured walls, and they matched them perfectly. Jose was a joy, and we for sure will be asking for him again if we ever need them. We would recommend them hands down. They will be the first we will be calling if we ever need anything else."

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

With regular testing, treatment, and maintenance, water from a community well should be safe to drink. Unfortunately, the EPA does not regulate private wells, and contamination can happen.

If you have doubts about the quality and safety of your drinking water, you have options for testing. You can pick up kits from your local home supply store or harvest samples and send them to a local testing facility. To get the most complete water quality testing and system diagnosis, seek a local well professional. They know what to test for and can recommend and implement a longer-lasting solution.

Some of the signs that could mean your water is contaminated, such as cloudiness or bubbliness, could also be non-problems that don’t affect your water’s potability. However, if your water smells or tastes strange, it’s a good idea to stop drinking it and test it immediately. If your well water is contaminated, the best way to discover that is to test it.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

Sampling typically takes 1-3 hours, and depending on the provider, lab results are available within 2-7 days.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
