"Clark did a fantastic job with our recent home inspection. He was very thorough and included different items that not every inspector adds on. He went above and beyond in communicating with us and making sure we fully understood his report. We really appreciated his knowledge and services and will be recommending him in the future."

"We can't say enough about Zona Restoration. We called, they set up an appointment to come and give us a quote within an appropriate time frame. They came, were extremely cautious about sanitary conditions, talked to us, took their time and were very precise. They got back to us with a quote within the 2 day window, and gave us a very reasonable quote. We scheduled right away, and they were on time, professional, friendly, and over the top wonderful. They did a flawless job repairing our walls and painting. We have textured walls, and they matched them perfectly. Jose was a joy, and we for sure will be asking for him again if we ever need them. We would recommend them hands down. They will be the first we will be calling if we ever need anything else."

"Im a professional home repair agent specializing in custom home remodeling, serious renovations, and a restoration specialist. I work with banks that need homes repaired for quick sale or when they have wrecked repossessed homes requiring total repair, I recently had a bank with a huge job that was going cost me alot in materials and services because after starting the project a worker found what we thought was mold and possibly toxic mold, so i went to home advisor to find someone to spealized in testing and removal of toxic mold, after lots of quotes. I hired Fuentes Environmental AZ LLC. I spoke with Mary on the phone with a very warm personality, and she was very professional and knowledgeable on exactly what i needed. she set my appointment up with her technician, Frank. He came out on time, clean uniform, and performed his inspection, and he did a high-quality and thoroughly detailed job. He was very knowledgeable and talked over every aspect of the test results with me. He was very patient and took extra time to explain and answer additional questions i had. He made sure i was satisfied and gave me peace of mind. The service was professional the technicians are premium workers great attitude they do the same job as all the big companies but for a price thats excellent and i will be recommending them to everyone i know and will always call them first for all my jobs and future projects. Special thanks to Mary for setting up my appointment and recommending additional services. Thanks to Frank for his professional attitude and skilled testing and removal of all toxic matter contaminated materials and cleaning sanitation, he performed thank you."

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

DIY kits are available for basic air quality testing, but professional services provide more comprehensive results and recommendations. While a DIY kit may seem cost-effective, a professional assessment is more thorough. Inspectors are better equipped to catch all pollutants and hazards, and you'll still need a professional to verify and act on DIY test results. Furthermore, some kits don't test for certain pollutants or only detect their presence without measuring specific levels (like mold spores). It's generally better to opt for a detailed professional assessment.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

No, a standard home inspection includes the basics and does not offer lead paint testing. Professional lead paint inspectors need specific licenses to perform these inspections, which not all home inspectors have. If you suspect lead paint in the home you are about to purchase, you will need to pay separately to have that done. If the findings come back positive, you may be able to negotiate with the buyer to cover the cost of the removal.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.
