"I initially hired Adams to perform pre-renovation testing because our home is older and there was a possibility of lead and/or asbestos. They offered a very reasonable price for the testing. I wasn?t even aware they had a reconstruction division when I first contacted them, but I ultimately hired them to complete the renovations as well. Everyone was very personable and made me feel completely comfortable having them in my home. They did an amazing job, and I?m extremely pleased with the overall experience and the quality of their work."

"We can't say enough about Zona Restoration. We called, they set up an appointment to come and give us a quote within an appropriate time frame. They came, were extremely cautious about sanitary conditions, talked to us, took their time and were very precise. They got back to us with a quote within the 2 day window, and gave us a very reasonable quote. We scheduled right away, and they were on time, professional, friendly, and over the top wonderful. They did a flawless job repairing our walls and painting. We have textured walls, and they matched them perfectly. Jose was a joy, and we for sure will be asking for him again if we ever need them. We would recommend them hands down. They will be the first we will be calling if we ever need anything else."

My name is oscar Pedroza, a 23 year old contractor based in Arizona and the owner of New Gen services LLC. Through hands on experience over the years,I’ve developed strong knowledge and skills in asbestos abatement, demolition , and environmental services. As a young business owner, I take pride in building something of my own while continuing the foundation my father started. "Absolutely amazing experience with this company. Frank was the one to come out and perform our inspection and he did a high quality and thorough job. He was very knowledgeable and talked over every aspect of the test results with us. He took the time to make sure we completely understood the situation and knew what to do for a next step. Cannot give this company and Frank specifically a high enough endorsement. Excellent experience."

"I spoke with Collin who was extremely helpful, informative, and went above and beyond to give me peace of mind even before moving forward with any work. I made it clear we had many free visual inspections scheduled and had one air test sample done. So rather than charge us and do another air test and inspection, he gave a very thorough second opinion and gave me additional options of over the counter products to use to minimize exposure in the meantime while awaiting results. Speaking with him has really given me more peace of mind and information than the on site inspections we have had so far. When we get all the information needed, I definitely plan to move forward with any repairs and remediation with Collin. He was so above and beyond and thorough before we are even really customers! Really shined!"

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

“Testing” can start with your senses: Assessing your water’s appearance, taste, and smell can all be good first steps. The best way to know for sure what’s going on with your water is to use a well water testing kit, which can tell you about the specific levels of bacteria, dissolved solids, and hardness of your water with precision. Have a pro test your well water at least once per year.

Structural problems with the foundation or roof, water damage, and significant plumbing or electrical issues are all considered major red flags in a home inspection. Of these, a structural problem related to the foundation is often the most severe. Foundation repairs are typically the most expensive and intrusive to carry out, averaging around $5,000 but sometimes reaching up to $16,000. Because these problems can pose safety risks and be costly to fix, you should ask your inspector detailed questions about any identified issues. You will need to carefully consider how major problems affect what you’re willing to pay for the home, or if you want to proceed with the sale at all.

No, a standard home inspection includes the basics and does not offer lead paint testing. Professional lead paint inspectors need specific licenses to perform these inspections, which not all home inspectors have. If you suspect lead paint in the home you are about to purchase, you will need to pay separately to have that done. If the findings come back positive, you may be able to negotiate with the buyer to cover the cost of the removal.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.
