"We have a 30 year old home that had only 6" of Cellulose insulation in the attic. Now it has the recommended 10" @R-38. Half of home has a flat roof with about 12" of clearance for insulation that was extremly difficult to access. Thanks to the two Steves and John they "Got her done". Also got the $600 rebate savings from SRP. We are Looking forward to lower electricity bills this summer. They were on time at 6:00 am and all cleaned-up and on their way to the next job by 8:00am. Great young men, Thanks!"

"To describe Wayne from My Insulation Guy in a single word would be AMAZING. Not only did he get the word done quickly he recommended an amazing drywaller and worked with him to ensure the whole job was done in the same day! He worked with me to try to get me the best deal for the insulation job and did not make me feel like I was just another number but a valued customer. I could honestly talk all day about the great service and job word are, but I will simply leave off with if you have the opportunity to hire My Insulation Guy then definitely do it and you wonâ t regret it!! Thanks again Wayne it was a real pleasure!"

"So far very good. Itâ s just completed hopefully this will make a difference. Feel good about having the old insulation removed after 38 years. Old insulation was breaking down like sawdust. Attic is clean now no critters or bugs to worry about. Everyone was professional & efficient. Ask again in one year for an update on performance & customer service if needed."

Kasi is a local, family-owned and operated spray foam insulation contractor. We service Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott, and northern Arizona. Two brothers, Patrick and Paul Kariniemi, founded Kasi in 2010. Prior to starting Kasi, Patrick spent ten years with a spray foam roofing company in Phoenix and Paul was an industrial construction contractor in Minnesota. Although we’ve tested nearly every foam insulation product available in Arizona, we’ve only purchased foam from a few suppliers. We have an 11-year long relationship with our injected foam manufacturer and a five year long relationship with our spray foam supplier. Since each foam insulation product has its own application characteristics, we’ve found that you have a lot fewer problems by sticking with reputable manufacturers who stand behind their products. As a result, our technicians are experts in the products they install.\n\n

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

The best way to make long, straight cuts is to use a utility knife and a T-square to score the sheet, snap along the score, and then finish the cut by cutting through the paper on the opposite side with the utility knife. If you’re making small cuts, curved cuts, or cutouts for electrical boxes or light fixtures, you can use a manual jab saw to keep costs down, but an electric spiral saw or oscillating multi-tool will get the cleanest, fastest cuts possible.

You can technically just paint over hairline cracks in plaster since these cracks are often harmless, but this will mostly be a waste of paint. Paint will only hide the hairline crack for a few months before it shows up again. The best solution is to repair the crack with flexible filler or joint compound before repainting.

Costs depend on labor, material quality, wall preparation, and finishing requirements.

Depending on the place where the cutting error occurred, you may be able to fix it. Learning how to patch a hole in drywall is challenging, but if you can tape and mud drywall, you can do it. Having said that, patching is time consuming. Early in the installation process, you may find that it’s easier and far less time consuming to just start over with a new sheet of drywall, cutting a new hole in the right spot. You may be able to use part of the incorrectly cut piece elsewhere, so it’s not completely wasted.

You can drywall an unheated garage because the material handles cold temperatures perfectly well. There are no risks or downsides to installing drywall in a garage that is not heated, and the material stands up to moisture and other elements quite well. Drywall will protect your unheated garage's electric wires and cables and add fire protection. However, for effective bonding, you should install drywall at a temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
