"We have a 30 year old home that had only 6" of Cellulose insulation in the attic. Now it has the recommended 10" @R-38. Half of home has a flat roof with about 12" of clearance for insulation that was extremly difficult to access. Thanks to the two Steves and John they "Got her done". Also got the $600 rebate savings from SRP. We are Looking forward to lower electricity bills this summer. They were on time at 6:00 am and all cleaned-up and on their way to the next job by 8:00am. Great young men, Thanks!"

"To describe Wayne from My Insulation Guy in a single word would be AMAZING. Not only did he get the word done quickly he recommended an amazing drywaller and worked with him to ensure the whole job was done in the same day! He worked with me to try to get me the best deal for the insulation job and did not make me feel like I was just another number but a valued customer. I could honestly talk all day about the great service and job word are, but I will simply leave off with if you have the opportunity to hire My Insulation Guy then definitely do it and you wonâ t regret it!! Thanks again Wayne it was a real pleasure!"

"After I inquired about upgrading my attic insulation Marcos called and set up a visit for the next business day. He showed up on time wearing a face mask which I appreciated. He invited me up into the attic and pointed out my current level of insulation and explained what I needed to upgrade to code. He answered all my questions. Job scheduled for the next afternoon and completed in 2 hours. I was invited to look into attic and was shown my insulation level was increased as promised. The crew was on time, courteous and cleaned up after the job was completed. The price was right on and Marcos added baffles for my attic vents to prevent the blown in insulation from being moved by airflow. and also insulated my attic opening cover with a piece of foam at no additional charge. Thanks MYF Insulation."

"Koala replied to me quickly. I had 3 quotes, Koala provided the insulation I needed at a good price, but beyond that, the customer service from the quote to the work was great. It was seemless and all done with kindness, willing to take time to explain and answer questions. Prompt, in fact I made my decision on a Friday with a Monday completion. THANK YOU"

"Contacted Jim to do a removal, sanitize and insulation replacement. Waited a few weeks to write this review to allow an honest review post service. Jim and his crew were efficient, responsible and respective of our time and space. The job site was cleaned at the end of each day and returned to usable state. As for removal and replacement of insulation-we have found that the house (2800sqft) seems to maintain a more consistent temperature, providing increased comfort more consistently throughout the days where temperatures have been above 108 degrees. (Previously, we had two rooms that were warmer than the rest of the house). Our AC does not seem to run as often, and I am waiting for our latest AC run time report as well as electric bill to determine true efficiencies. Thank you to the team for efforts and I would strongly recommend them for anyone seeking similar services. RA"

"Marshall Insulation was great. They arrived early and worked quickly and efficiently. For a messy job they made sure it was clean when they left. Jeff did a good job explaining the SRP programs,"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Being cautious around the wall, not placing furniture against it, and ensuring stable humidity are all great ways to reduce possible damage.

Yes, you can mount a TV on plaster walls—as long as you attach it to the studs. Alternatively, you can use toggle bolts, molly bolts, or another type of hardware that’s strong enough to support a TV.

If you aren’t comfortable with this type of project, you can hire a pro. The cost of mounting a TV to a plaster wall ranges from $25 to $600 (or more), depending on the TV’s weight, size, and other factors.

You can paint over plaster, but repair any damage to the plaster first, or the paint will crack and bubble. You should also prepare the surface of the plaster to accept paint, which gives your paint job the best chance of looking good and lasting a long time. Before applying the color you want, apply a coat or two of primer. Additionally, use latex paint, and choose a latex paint with a satin finish for areas with dampness, like bathrooms.

Most load-bearing walls are exterior, though they can also be interior.

Whether you need drywall anchors depends on your specific project, particularly where you are hanging an item. Drywall anchors are not necessary if you can drive a screw directly into a wooden stud behind the wall, as the stud provides sufficient support. However, since studs are not present everywhere in a wall, you will need to use drywall anchors if you are hanging an object in a location without a stud. For very lightweight items, picture hanging strips can also be a suitable alternative.
