Mark has lived in Tucson since 1978. He has a wide variety of hands on construction experience over the last 31 years, including painting, framing, general and trim carpentry, estimating, project management, superintendent duties and teaching construction. He taught both young men and women construction skills thru job training programs when he was a contractor for the Tucson Urban League and also when he worked for the Arizona Conservation Corps. He started Straw Dogs Construction in 1997 after building a straw bale home in conjunction with the Urban League and Habitat for Humanity.
