"It was my first time working with an interior design firm, and I chose Hermosa Style Co (after interviewing five other designers) because of their aesthetic, availability, and the price and flexibility of their services. I needed my fireplace re-designed, my kitchen updated, the interiors painted, and help with new furniture selection for my family and dining rooms. I wanted to make the transition from a mid-century aesthetic to a more Tulum-esque global organic vibe, but I didn't have a high-end budget. Heather and Alexa did a site visit, documented my existing furniture and art pieces, and came up with a plan for construction and furniture that did not blow my budget. I am very happy with the final results! The project was executed thoughtfully from start to finish, including project management of the construction phase."

I knows families with children require things to function at a higher level and need to be prepared to grow with the family. From small families to multiple children with varied ages I can design a space that offers freedom for the whole family to use and enjoy the space as well as have the space to grow with the family . Special needs for the family such as developmental needs or delays and mental health also presents its self in design. Knowing about these and working with them along the process is something that sets shelbi apart. It would be amazing if we were all the same and cleaned up after ourselves in the same way and put things back where they went and always made our bed in the morning, but this just is not real life. Also many of the choices that need to be made along the way can be very overwhelming and stressful, and may very well be the reason you feel like you need someone else to come in and help you now! Shelbi can work with those who have these challenges- give you a game plan and get things rocking so you can enjoy this process (as much a possible) along the way! If you have Anxiety or depression and need someone who gets you you found the right designer!

"Definitely Recommend! Amaris is organized, punctual, with fast and clear communication. She really is “no judgement.” She works consistently, and at a great pace, making the time count. I first connected with Amaris after an inter-state move, and movers who left an unholy mess (boxes emptied out into piles) in all rooms - simultaneously, we were embarking on a getting a remodel. The initial job was to help sort out (seasonal and dress/casual) and nicely arrange clothing for 2 (his and her) closets, including multiple boxes of assorted boxes of footwear. Amazing! She understood and took direction well, but all I really did was leave her to it, and come and finesse to my own particular preferences, which she understood and noted immediately for future reference. Having her help at that point, rather than waiting, meant our remodel continued without us going crazy, looking for things. Additionally, she is helping with many other things from to jar labeling (nice hand writing), laundry pickup, getting speedily to and from stores for pick ups, and a multitude of misc. tasks such as calls to get pricing (upholstery, lamp refurbishment etc.). I haven’t tested out her cooking/prep skills yet, but will be shortly. I found her willing, competent and efficient and ? just really great to have in our home. Based on my experience so far, I can honestly say anything, from a couple of hours, to multiple days, is money well spent that will help your mind and home/business move forward nicely."
