"The first crew, led by foreman Javier, to work on this supposed 4 day interior paint project started the project one day later than contractually scheduled. They spent 3 days on the project and were nowhere near completion, the work mediocre at best. Because of a family commitment crew number 1 did not complete the project and were replaced by crew number 2 led by foreman Tim and assistant Todd. Both of these men were highly skilled, very positive, but appalled at the mediocre work performed by crew number 1 which left them in a difficult spot to correct the poor work previously done. However, after two days they completed the project, corrected the poor work previously done, and went out of their way to assure us that they would leave us in excellent shape. This they did! TIM & TODD not only saved the project, but saved the reputation of the company. The company was fully in contact with us and crew 2 during the final stages of the project and met our expectations, although 2 days later than promised with some levels of tension, worry and disappointment. Would I recommend AZ. Painting Company? Yes...they assigned a mediocre crew to the project at first but responded to the challenges with an excellent crew (TIM & TODD) who finished the job and well-represented the company. Would I hire this company again, "only if TIM & TODD DID THE WORK"!!"

"I sent out for bids to 5 Angieslist "A" rated painting companies.  James was one of four that bid, and one of only two who actually came to the home to personally inspect the job. After carefully reviewing all of our quotes we decided to work with James. His bid was not the lowest, however, we felt most comfortable with him based on his lifetime experience as a professional painter, the quality of the paints he proposed, his knowledge of the processes, etc. He's very personable and I learned that both his father and grandfather before him were full-time painting professionals. And I really enjoyed the fact that he brought his son Nelson with him, as it was Nelson's first day of summer vacation. Truly a family affair!

James arrived on the day and at the time agreed upon. His team was very careful in prep. Even though this was exterior painting they took great precautions to protect everything such as the cool-deck, outdoor furniture, neighbor's adjoining walls, etc

As a long term valley residents (me 50+ years, my wife 3rd generation native) we've had a lot of exterior painting done. We couldn't be more pleased with the results! Even though our original plans were to just paint the fence now and then repaint our entire 2-story home in about a year or two, we're moving forward with doing the home now, and we are using James Horn and his team to do it.

"Painting went pretty well. Paco & Angel were very friendly & professional, but this was their 1st time finishing doors, which was very disappointing. I would of stained & clear coated the alder doors myself, but they cost ~$5000 & I didn't want to risk doing it myself without prior experience. Unfortunately, this was their 1st time doing this type of work & they only did a mediocre job. I believe I would have done a better job myself. Marcel painting should have provided more training or more experienced workers for finishing the doors.

"I was promised more than was actually done. Billy explained all of the aspects of sanding/filling in wood joints before the project, as well as the ways that the foundation would be protected. The latter was done. As I have more carefully looked at the wood, I'm not sure the promise was kept. In places where the wood was painted, parts seem to already be peeling away. But, hey, I have a guarantee so I will expect any necessary repainting, right? Also, I would recommend to all that you keep an eye on every part of the prep, painting and cleanup. In my case, I discovered, too late, that the crew had another job the same day. Hmm, that probably explains why I had bits of power washed paint all over my yard and driveway, why my garage outdoor light fixtures had residues from the paint and water wash cleanup. Billy denied that they were a result of his work. Hmm?"
