"I really enjoyed working with O'Bryan Electric. He not only showed me different styles, both low cost to extremely fancy fans, but when I found what I liked he was able to get a great price for the fan. O'Bryran Eletric always kept in touch with me through out the processes of ordering the fan, and installation. They were professional installing the fan and cleaned up after they were finished. I would very much recommend O'Bryan Electric to anyone who asks."

"We had J.C. Pineda as installer. Brown paper liner was placed throughout house to keep carpeting and floors clean. He was extremely professional and courteous; the kind of gentleman you don't mind having over for dinner. He worked quickly, cleaned up after himself & took all the empty boxes & refuse with him after finishing. He left the house as clean as before his arrival. I cannot praise or recommend J.C. enough. You will not regret calling him and his price was reasonable for the work performed. The only complaint was with the scheduling dept. who botched up the scheduling twice. Minor hiccup, considering the quality of JC's work!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If your breaker box won’t reset, stay on, trips when overloaded, or gets seriously damaged, you will need to replace the breakers or possibly the entire panel. A damaged breaker can lead to a fire, so it’s best to err on the safe side and look into replacement. Hire a professional electrician to replace a breaker box to ensure your personal and property safety.

The lifespan of an average breaker box is 25 to 40 years, depending on the type and electrical events that occur in your home. Frequent power outages or surges can cause the breaker box’s lifespan to shorten. Maintain this essential electrical component by avoiding turning it off and inspecting it regularly for signs of damage.

Moving an electrical outlet typically costs between $25 and $300. The final price depends on several factors, including the type of outlet, the condition of your existing wiring, and the state of your walls. For example, working on exposed walls without drywall is easier and less expensive for an electrician. However, if the walls are finished, the cost may increase to account for necessary repairs afterward. It's recommended to consult a professional for a precise quote based on your specific situation.

It’s not a good idea to mix LED and incandescent Christmas lights if you can avoid it. LEDs and incandescents can have significantly different electrical current needs. This difference can lead to a higher risk of problems and failure for both light strands. When possible, switch all your lights over to one kind or the other for the best results. Do not connect the different types of light strings to each other, and avoid linking them to the same circuit.

Usually, a light switch goes bad due to normal wear and tear. Light switches are mechanical devices with internal moving parts. These parts make contact with each other, and, over time, the friction can wear them down, causing the switch to feel loose, arc, or fail to operate.
