Cox Custom Remodeling, LLC.James and his crew at Cox Custom Remodeling did a great job with our bathroom remodel. Our house was built in 1900 and the nonstandard framing made things more complicated. His lead, Dan was particularly great, taking the extra time to understand components we picked that were new to him. James always had a positive attitude, showed up when he indicated and got things done. Low dust, protection for floors and respect for the rest of the house while the construction was going on. James also provided the best tile guy, Eugene, that did a fantastic job with natural stone and the complicated very fragile mosaic. We would definitely use Cox Custom Remodeling again. Pete's ConstructionWe are extremely happy with the work done on our small bathroom by Pete's Construction. It was such a small job that many contractors did not want to bother with it. Pete called us back the same day, and set up a meeting to see what we needed done. Once he saw what was needed, we agreed on a price that was reasonable, and we were able to get started within a few weeks. His crew,Antonio (it was a one man project) did a wonderful job, and arrived each day on time, and he always addressed any concerns we had. Our refrigerator wasn't cooling properly so we called Carter's based on the good reviews. They answered the phone quickly when I initially called. They had someone come out right away. Then they ordered the part they said maybe a week they would have the part and it would be fixed. Well after they came out for the inspection, we did not hear back for 3 weeks. I called several times and finally got a hold of them. They said the part was back ordered due to COVID and they finally came out to repair the fridge after 3 weeks of waiting. I can understand the part being back ordered but they were not proactive about letting us know about the additional wait time. Meanwhile the entire time our food is outside sitting in the garage (at least it was winter when this happened). Well it's worked fine since they came out but now it's a few months later and again it's not cooling. It was up to 54 degrees and we have had to remove all the food from the fridge! I left them a message two days ago about the issues with the fridge. I called them probably 20 times yesterday and today. They must be blocking my calls and will not answer the phone now. We need to get our fridge fixed ASAP and since the repair they did is not working now, I think they should at least answer the phone or come and take a look. We paid almost $600 for the repair!!

Avoid. The company's technician didn't pay attention to the problem and did not know how to identify it. His solution was a guess. Using the service request form provided by Angie's List, I provided a detailed description of the problem and a complete list of what has been replaced. The model he was being asked to service has built-in diagnostics routines, which are designed to identify failed circuits and failed parts. When he arrived, the first question he asked made it clear that he had not read the two paragraphs of details that I provided ahead of time. It also was clear that he knew nothing of the diagnostics. After 15 minutes, he recommended a part that I had already replaced. I reluctantly paid his fee but now I'm back at square one.
