Handyman/Lawn Care services. I can do anything from drywall, painting, lay flooring. I'm also really good when it comes to cutting grass and do anything landscaping. I always bring a leaf blower and blow grass when I'm finished. I'll also do anything from rake leaves to just about whatever needs done.

Unlike most contractors, we guarantee everything we do, and will keep coming back if there is an issue. One thing we have learned through the years is that our best Advertising is word-of-mouth. Drywall questions, answered by experts

You may not need to use a drywall anchor, depending on what you're hanging and where you're hanging it. If you can nail or screw into a wooden stud, the wood will provide enough support and stability in many cases. If you're hanging something very lightweight, you can use picture hanging strips to hold it in place.

A nail in drywall cannot hold very much—usually only a few pounds. A nail in a stud can add support and hold around 20 pounds. If you are trying to hang something heavier, get some help from drywall anchors—toggle bolts are very strong and able to withstand more weight.

If you’re installing new drywall, you may need to skim coat the drywall first for a smooth finish and to allow the primer to adhere to the wall. It’s only necessary if there are imperfections in your drywall due to issues with the studs or improper drywall installation. If you’re refreshing existing walls, you may want to skim coat if there are imperfections across the wall. As an alternative, you can repair your drywall and sand it for a smooth finish before painting.

There is no way to cut drywall without making dust, but you can reduce the amount of dust and especially the dangerous airborne particles by using manual cutting tools. Using a utility knife to score and snap your drywall will minimize dust production, and a jab saw for cutting cutouts for boxes and fixtures will generate almost no airborne dust. Even if you use these methods, you should still wear a respirator and safety goggles to avoid damage to your lungs and eyes.

You should stagger drywall sheets to help prevent cracking. The joints between drywall sheets are the weak spots, so if you install drywall with seams aligned, you’ll create weak lines that run across the length of the wall and extend from floor to ceiling. But when you stagger drywall, the solid sections of panels will support the joints. This can prevent seams from cracking or separating due to fluctuating temperature and humidity, vibrations from movement inside the home, and gravity.
