"Well I would beware if you wanted to get a quote from these guys. I needed to get a new well. I received 3 quotes from different sources. These guys came in the best. First I signed the contract in late June and did not get the well till Early Sept. Took an awful long time. They blamed it on weather but there were plenty of stretches of nice weather. No excuse. Then when they finally did complete, the sent me a bill for over $1000 more. Again no excuse. They said they had to do more work so it cost more. Then they need a new estimator who knows what they are doing. I could see a couple of hundred off but not $1000. BEWARE!"

"The senior project specialist was Jimmy. He did a great job of keeping us informed at all stages of the project (interior drain tile installation). Nanod was the plumber who did the final installation of the sump pump set-up and discharge configuration. Nanod did an outstanding job on the route of the discharge piping , having assessed that the originally considered discharge configuration might have adversely affected our neighbor."

"Called Weds morning and David and Kori were there by noon. They hydro jetted the corrugated drainage pipe from the source to the end and then backwards again to remove the obstruction. Free flow of water was quickly restored. They also jetted a second line from the drain site backwards and the return of that one was clear water as well. Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Promptness of service, very professional work ethic with great success, and very reasonable cost. Better yet they let this old Do it yourselfer watch and answered all my questions about what was going on. Anyone who needs sewer or other drain lines cleaned or worked on should call Econo Sewer and Drain."

"This was certainly one of the more challenging clogged drains. Lewis was fantastic. My 100+ year old house as usual threw all sorts of difficulties at him. He stuck with it and when he left I finally had a kitchen sink that drained again. He was friendly, explained everything that needed done and had a estimate before proceeding. Payment was accepted that day. Easiest, affordable and best plumbing experience I have ever had."

Cost is determined by the job and there is rarely a down payment required. I accept cash, checks, most major credit cards (through PayPal - even for clients with no PayPal account and I can accept cards in person as well), PayPal transfers, and also offer installment plans for approved clients. We do all the work ourselves, are fully insured, and if a sub-contractor is needed for some aspect of the job (i.e. plumbing/electric) this will be specified at the time of the estimate.

"Holland came and gave us an estimate for natural gas furnace and central air install, we currently have oil heat. Heather in the office responded to my email right away and called me. She was super friendly and very helpful with scheduling the install. She was genuinely nice to me as was Jeffery who came to our home.   I honestly felt like they cared about me and the best interests of my family. I had been given a lot of misinformation about the cost to convert from oil heat to natural gas, and had ridiculously high (verbal) quotes to switch out of oil heat.  My husband and I thought that we wouldn't be able to afford to switch to natural gas but Holland proved me wrong, thank God!  Their price was phenomenal and so was Jeffery's professionalism.  Jeffery was so so helpful, explaining to me the energy savings we will have with our new unit as well as rebates that we will get as well.He worked with us to add a complete cleaning of  of our ductwork, as well as the install.  So so glad I joined Angie's List. It has paid off immensely already. (Sounding like the commercial now, but so true) Thank You Angie's List!!"

"First time using Angie's List, contacted R S Plumbing based on other's experiences. Was able to get estimate same day I called, was below other companies. Arrived on time, shut down water at street and cut lead service pipe, replaced valves on both sides of meter and joined new copper to existing galvanized pipe in 105 year old house. Very fair price, very professional and high quality work. Would cetainly use company again."

"This review is well over due. Now that we have the drain tile system we have not received any flooding The day he began Brian's team came to our house promptly in the morning at 8am. They immediately started jack hammering the floor around the perimeter of the basement. While two men jack hammered on opposite ends the rest of the team followed behind them clearing debris and bringing the large pieces to a truck to be hauled away. They then installed the drain pipe, sump pumps, and poured cement. They were able to compete the project within 8 hours. I was definitely impressed! Now that it is a year later with 3 seasons behind us we cannot complain about his installation of the drainage system. Furthermore, one year later he still provided us with exceptional customer service. Oddly enough our pipes connected to our sump pump that takes the water from the drain tile to the backyard became detached. He responded asap with putting the detached pipes from the sump pump back together and making sure what happened will not happen again. What I liked about him in comparison to the other companies was his approach. No sales techniques, nothing gimmicky just genuine and straight shooter type of guy. He believes in his service, no thrills and whistles to the product. Just common sense solutions with quality service. It's your house your investment. Call this guy, no "BS" to it. He won't let you down.

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can add a battery to your existing sump pump. There are batteries available that can be plugged into your existing system; however, most battery backups come as a complete system and act as a replacement for your existing sump pump.

Test regularly, clean the pump, and inspect the discharge line to ensure efficient operation.

Yes, it’s normal (and beneficial) to have a small amount of water in the bottom of your sump pit. It shows that your system is collecting groundwater, rain, and excess water from around your property—just like it’s supposed to. However, if the sump pit is always full, you might have a leak or a faulty sump pump.

Yes, many providers offer warranties for new pumps and labor. Confirm terms before scheduling.

Several indicators suggest it's time for a sump pump replacement. A key factor is age; if the pump is over 10 years old, its lifespan is likely ending. Performance issues are also clear signs, such as the pump running constantly, cycling on and off frequently, making unusual noises or vibrations, or failing to function at all. A faulty or burnt-out motor is another definite sign a replacement is needed. Additionally, if you notice any signs of incorrect installation, the pump should be replaced. For a definitive diagnosis, a vetted plumber can assess the pump and confirm whether a replacement is necessary.
