Customers say: True professional

"John was on time and had me show him the work I requested to be done. He looked at both leaking drains and recommended the best possible solution for me knowing that I was in the process of selling my home. He talked me through all the work he needed to do for my best value and to give me his best service. The work was done incredibly well and in a reasonable time frame! I strongly recommend his expertise and would/will hire again if my newer home needs any plumbing services!"

Same day service performed once I discovered this morning I had a problem with house/well pressure. Essentially, the "T" fitting that was installed in 2008, by another company along with new pump, had rusted a hole thru it on backside of fitting (galvanized). Pump was running constantly unable to build up pressure.

Installer replaced with a brass fitting (pulling pipe up from well) and made corrections to how the vertical and horizontal pipes were aligned/supported.

They were very friendly and professional both on the phone and in person. I even got a follow up call after service was completed. Found on Angie's list and was not disappointed. In the event I need further service, they get the

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Homeowners mistakenly skip required permits for minor plumbing alterations, which creates issues during home sales. Another error involves burying exterior lines too shallow for the deep Greenfield frost line, resulting in severe freeze damage. Property owners also ignore aging sewer laterals when updating interior fixtures. Finally, failing to install proper backflow preventers or ignoring hard water scale buildup will significantly reduce the lifespan of your fixtures.

Helpful?

Aging exterior sewer laterals and water service lines are the most vulnerable components in older Greenfield neighborhoods. Inside the home, water heaters degrade rapidly due to mineral buildup from hard water. Basement floor drains and sump pumps require constant maintenance to manage groundwater in clay-heavy soils. You will also need to replace corroded supply shut-off valves and failing cast iron bathroom drains as they age.

Helpful?

Strict compliance with the WI plumbing code ensures your updates remain durable and insurable. You must account for local water hardness by managing scale accumulation to protect water heaters and supply valves. Adequate thermal insulation is also required to protect pipes from extreme winter freezing. Finally, always hire a licensed professional to guarantee your venting systems and sewer laterals function properly for years to come.

Helpful?

Start by winterizing outdoor hose bibs in the fall before Greenfield experiences hard freezes. During winter, closely monitor pipes in uninsulated spaces to prevent freezing. Spring requires inspecting sump pumps and basement drains to handle heavy snowmelt. In the summer, check your water heater for sediment buildup caused by the hard water common in WI. Hire a professional to inspect your sewer lateral to keep your plumbing running smoothly.

Helpful?

The age and style of your Greenfield property directly impact plumbing complexity. Homes built before 1970 feature aging cast iron drains or corroded galvanized supply lines that require complete replacement. Finished basements conceal pipes behind walls, increasing the difficulty of accessing lines for upper floors. Additionally, single-story ranch layouts require long horizontal drain runs, which creates slope and venting challenges that demand professional attention.
