Customers say: True professional

"At first I was a bit nervous the guy that did my estimate looked so young. When he started measuring for the driveway estimate I noticed he knew what he was doing so I relaxed. I also liked the price he gave me, a great price compared to 2 other companies I inquired so I went ahead and asked for a chimney repair. He did not pressure me but he gave me confidence to go ahead with my projects. I would definitely recommend Professional Concrete Inc. They are reliable and accurate. They explain really well what the process is into doing the job to your expectations they did for me."

"We are very satisfied with price, quality of work, speed of work and clean up. Only 2 main reasons why we did not give an A rating which may not influence others. After submitting a deposit we would have appreciated a call letting us know that the check had been received and at least a general idea of when work would commence. Instead we called three different times and finally received an answer three weeks later. Perhaps my biggest disappointment was that as the workers were pouring the driveway they had a young audience of both mine and my neighbors children (ages 2-8). One of the workers let out an f-bomb. While I can understand that and let it go I was ver upset when this man was alerted to his language by in English of his co-workers and he proceeded to look straight at his young audience and loudly say again "I don't give a f***." That was simply uncalled for, unprofessional and disrespectful to us as the homeowner and paying customer. All that being said, we are pleased with the work and the professionalism of the company itself. Thanks for a job well done."

"Roberto and his team did a thorough job landscaping my lawn. They put in walkway borders, a retainer wall, and seeded my lawn. They took an extra step to do a good job every time. I was so impressed. And his prices were so reasonable. I appreciated Roberto getting my opinion a couple of times throughout the job to make sure I was happy with the progress. Highly recommended!!"

"The driveway was completed and done very well. However, I have called back on 3 occasions questioning the resurfacing of my step and a four inch chert near the entrance of the driveway. No one has come back out to address this. I paid 10K for the job and it seems that now I can be ignored."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Gravel is one of the few driveway materials that can handle rain the second it’s installed. Unlike asphalt, which needs days to set, or concrete, which requires weeks to cure, gravel is ready as soon as it’s compacted. It’s naturally permeable, allowing water to drain straight through—with no risk of pooling or surface damage. Gravel driveways are one of the most affordable, at $1 to $3 per square foot, and can also last upward of 100 years.

The cost to replace a driveway ranges from $8 to $15 per square foot, depending on factors that include material, size, and labor. If your driveway has deep cracks, potholes, or drainage issues (or if it’s simply past its prime), replacement might be the smarter investment over constant repairs. Resurfacing can be a cheaper alternative at $3 to $20 per square foot, but it won’t fix your driveway’s underlying problems.

Chip seal layers gravel and a liquid bitumen one at a time on-site, while asphalt directly pours a pre-combined mixture. Asphalt must be sealed, but it will last up to four times as long as chip seal driveways. Aesthetically, chip seal has a natural, rustic look compared to the traditional asphalt slab.

When comparing installation costs, asphalt is often less expensive upfront than concrete. Asphalt prices typically range from $7 to $15 per square foot, while concrete can range from $3 to $18 per square foot. However, long-term costs should also be considered. Concrete driveways generally last longer (up to twice as long) and require less maintenance, which can make them more affordable over their lifespan. While asphalt has a lower installation cost and is easier to repair, it requires more frequent maintenance, such as sealing, which can add up over time. Therefore, while concrete is more expensive initially, its durability may offset the cost in the long run.

The cost to pour a driveway apron depends on the material and size. Concrete costs $3 to $10 per square foot, asphalt ranges from $2 to $5, and pavers are $5 to $15 per square foot. Additional expenses, like excavation, base material, and labor, can increase the total cost. For example, a standard 12x15-foot concrete apron could cost between $540 and $1,800, depending on local rates and additional work required. Always consult a local driveway paving contractor to get an accurate estimate tailored to your project.
