"From the first meeting, Justin Johnson was professional and knowledgeable about the tree. He asked me what I wanted and didn't want. The day of the tree removal; they were actually early. They removed the tree efficiently and rather more quickly than I thought it would be. They also cleaned up and there were a lot of pine needles!! I have already asked about them returning in the new year to trim my remaining trees. I would certainly use them again."

Small jobs welcome

"Pa's did an excellent job of removing our tree and trimming 2 others. They were on time, hardworking and they cleaned up. They were very respectful of our plants and very reasonably priced. I recommend them and would hire them again! Thank you Pa's! You were awesome! Jim and Cher"

"Pedro and his crew did a great job! Professional and courteous. Had a very large oak that needed removed very close to my house. They worked so well together, taking it down carefully. It was amazing to watch. I had a fir tree that I also wanted removed. It was leaning towards my neighbors house. We agreed that should be removed,as well, as it was cracking at the base. All cleaned up and all wood removed. I would definitely recommend Roman's for your tree project."

"Brian was very quick at responding to our request. He was able to fit us in and arrived promptly at the time he had stated. He had his tree trimmer work on cutting back the tree while he worked on trimming the parking strip bushes. He made sure we were happy with how much was trimmed. Between the two of them, they cleaned up all the debris and loaded it in their truck. They were very fast and our yard looked great We have used their services in the past and have always been happy with their work. We will definitely work with them again in the future."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

You’ll want to have your palm trees trimmed during the spring, ideally in May, before hurricane season sets in, which generally takes place during the late summer. Palm trees grow fastest over the summer months. You’ll also want to trim your palm trees when you notice:

  • Brown fronds

  • Dry leaves

  • Flower pods

  • Fruit

  • Fronds overgrown in power lines

  • Frond encroaching upon your neighbor’s home or yard

  • Visible damage from a storm

Transporting a fully-grown tree requires heavy equipment, typically specialized for the task. A tree spade is a truck-mounted tool that removes the tree from the ground in one location, transports it, and places it in a new hole in a new location. A combination of mechanized shovels and lifts is necessary to move very large trees, and the exact tools often depend on location and the surrounding area.

Depending on the severity of the damage, a tree might continue healing for years after a split or a break. Saplings can usually bounce back in the spring in one or two seasons, but larger trees might take a few years to regain their former strength. If your tree is showing strong growth and is not dropping limbs, you can consider it healed after the first two seasons.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.

Many consider the Fraser fir to be the most popular type of Christmas tree, but which type of tree sells out near you can depend on region and decorating trends that year. For example, the Leyland cypress is especially popular in the Southeast, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.
