"We had Near Me Roofing Company re-shingle my 2 story house. The crew was professional , clean and on time. On our first day, it started to rain and they were happy to re-schedule to another day of the week. We were very satisfied with the finished product and would recommend them."

"Julian, the owner, was a joy to work with. My wife had injured by ankles and we needed a handrail ASAP. They were able to get everything done in 6 days; the weekend prevented it from being quicker. The employees were professional and concerned with doing quality work. They custom built the handrail that met our needs and desire. The employees didn't smoke or talk on their phones, they were polite and courteous and when they left my sidewalk was spotless. I will definitely hire them again. I would add a photo but the max file size is 5MG"

Customers say: Quick response

"Taylor and his crew did an amazing job. They replaced an old front entry with a beautiful front porch in the design that I wanted. It took me a long time to find someone who could handle this project and its detail. They also replaced a sidewalk and driveway and created a new front walkway to the street. Highly recommend. I have had so many people stop me and ask me who did this beautiful concrete work. Thank you, Uniquecrete!"

"Alex and his father did a wonderful job! They’re a small company and they worked really really hard to go the extra mile. They were very professional, affordable, and completed the work within their quote. I can’t recommend them enough. They worked hard and are committed to excellence. They came up with the idea and design for the brick work along my driveway and I’m extremely satisfied."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

It takes recycled asphalt 48 hours to initially harden and up to 3 months to fully cure. It’s best to stay off of recycled asphalt for at least 48 hours, then you can walk or drive standard vehicles on it. Hold off on driving heavy trucks or equipment on it for at least 7 days. Allowing the surface to melt together and harden ensures that the surface stays durable and long-lasting.

Recycled asphalt is a durable choice for a driveway, but doesn’t have the same appearance and low maintenance as standard asphalt. For long driveways in rural communities, recycled asphalt can make a great choice. Recycled asphalt is 20% to 30% percent less expensive than standard asphalt and is better for the environment.

The choice between asphalt and concrete depends on your priorities, budget, and climate.

Concrete is generally more durable, lasting up to 50 years with minimal upkeep, and offers more customization options like staining and stamping, which can add more to a home's value. However, it is more expensive upfront and can be prone to cracking in cold climates where water can freeze and expand.

Asphalt is typically cheaper and quicker to install and is easier to repair. It performs better in colder climates. However, it requires more maintenance, including regular resealing, has a shorter lifespan, and can get hot and sticky in intense sunlight.

Ultimately, if durability and long-term value are key, concrete is often the better choice. If upfront cost and performance in cold weather are more important, asphalt may be preferable.

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.
