The job was done wonderfully, exceeding my expectations, which has always been the case when I use their services. They arrived on time, made sure that they understood what I needed and answered all my questions. I’m very impressed with the way the entire team performs as a single cohesive unit for maximum efficiency. During the past 10 years, This group has provided all of the knowledge and support that I’ve needed to maintain the health of various kinds of trees. I highly recommend them

Pacific Northwest Arborists was great to work with. Keith helped me realize that my browning cherry tree was not in great shape so I ended up having them remove it. They also pruned my apple tree which looks better than it has in years. The crew was great to work with - especially considering the 90 degree heat. I would definitely hire them again

  • Mountain View Tree Service
    5.0
We live in a suburb of Portland and had this company remove a couple of trees and were very pleased with the job that they did. Not only were they the best value, but they did a great job and cleaned everything up afterwards. Then our next door neighbors used them and then their neighbors on the other side used Mountain View also. It's a blessing to have a professional company that one doesn't have to fight with to get things done. We won't hesitate to call them again if we have another storm that damages our trees

From the first contact until the work was completed, Pacific Northwest Arborists was a professional, friendly company to do business with. Keith, the owner, came out to bid. I was impressed with how invested he was in saving our trees. Other companies we contacted were encouraging us to remove the trees. Keith offered realistic explanations and solutions to the various problems. Even to the point of saving a sapling shoot that was sprouting from the remaining birch stump in hopes that a new tree would result. The bid was very reasonable. The work performed and the cleanup following exceeded our expectations. I have already recommended Pacific Northwest Arborist to a neighbor and would not hesitate to use their services again

  • Tree Masters, Inc.

The crew arrived prepped and ready. They were fast and courteous and respectful of all the obstacles they had to work around. The tree was big and had a heavy lean towards our neighbor, and had a bad crack in a “Y” section that was only another ice storm from disaster. We were impressed with a decent Estimate for the work and the speediness of getting scheduled for the work too! The office manager was helpful and understood what I was asking about and the Arborist was very knowledgeable. The guy that climbed the tree, slung himself in safely and then cut everything was very careful to not cause damage to anything nearby! They also even swept-up the patio and pathway before leaving! Our neighbor was impressed enough that he hired them for some extensive work that he needed done in his yard! Very impressed and extremely thankful we hired them instead of trying to tackle the task on our own! A very tough job that was finished SAFELY in one day! Thankyou!

Central Stump Grinding did an incredible job removing two very large old stubborn stumps in my front yard. My home looks so much better without those eye sores, I only wish I had it done sooner! They were super professional and finished the job in a timely manner.

Green sky team showed up on time for pre assessments and gave me the official estimated cost within couple of hours after inspection. Estimated cost was very competitive compare to others and agreed on cost and scope of work to be done. Their work quality was more than I expected and I am very pleased. Strongly recommend Green Sky team for any tree service, and I will definitely rehire them for future sevice

Tree Service FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to remove a tree?

Answer: Typically, tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000. Tree removal costs vary widely based on the number of trees being removed, the height of each tree, the diameter of each tree trunk, and accessibility to the tree. Smaller trees are usually less expensive to remove than larger ones, as are those that are more easily accessible.

  2. Do you need a permit to cut down a tree?

Answer: In many areas, you don’t need a permit to cut down a tree on your own private, residential property. But some municipalities may require tree removal permits for conservation purposes or to comply with local ordinances. When you hire a tree removal pro, they’ll be able to tell you whether you need a permit for your specific tree removal project.

  3. When is a good time to trim trees?

Answer: In most regions, the best time to trim your trees is during the winter months. During the active growing season (spring through fall), trimming your trees can leave them more vulnerable to disease and less likely to thrive. During the winter months, when trees are dormant, trimming them will cause less stress and leave them ready to grow again in the spring.

  4. What is the average cost to cut a tree down?

Answer: Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 per tree. Establishing an average cost can be difficult because each tree will be assessed and priced based on factors like height, trunk diameter, and accessibility. In general, smaller trees cost less to remove than larger trees, as do trees that are more accessible.

  5. How much does it cost to service a tree?

Answer: The cost to service a tree is typically between $430 and $1,320. The cost to service a tree depends on several factors, including what exactly you’d like done, the tree’s height, its health, the location of the tree, and local labor costs. The national average cost for tree services is $865. Tree trimming isn’t necessary for all trees but can improve their health and longevity by encouraging new growth.

  6. What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning?

Answer: While tree trimming and tree pruning might appear similar to the untrained eye, they serve different purposes. Tree pruning is used to thin a tree by removing unnecessary or burdensome branches. Tree trimming promotes healthy growth by trimming but not removing branches.
