"Jaman was professional, courteous and got things done quickly. He exceeded expectations! We had a toilet that needed a new seal. He assessed the situation, quoted and did the work. He went above and beyond to level things given our uneven concrete floor so that the problem won’t reoccur, all the while keeping us informed and explaining what was needed. Thank you and huge thumbs up!!"

"We had a toilet that had developed a hairline crack in the bowl that we did not want to escalate to an emergency situation. The two techs from Rooter Man did the entire job from sourcing the toilet to installing and cleanup quickly and efficiently. I relied on them to suggest which toilet to install based on the available room and quality of the unit. The job was done exceptionally well, they hauled away the old toilet and did a complete cleanup of the work area. Very satisfied."

"Jerry was very enjoyable and professional in replacing a bent lead toilet connection which had leaked at the toilet. He replaced the old lead connection to the cast iron sewer pipe with modern ABS pipe and installed a flange to attach the new toilet to when the floor is completed."

"We had a late night sewer back up, and my friend recommended this rapid raptor sewer drain. So I called them and was able to schedule them that night. They cleared my toilet, ran a camera and identified the problem and found out where the breakage happened. They gave me a fair estimate to repair that section of the line and we decided to go with the work because they were out here so fast. They were extremely professional. They got the job done within 2 days and I was really happy with the final work. I will definitely be referring them to my friends."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Some of the problems with in-wall toilets include the complex installation, which might need extra framing. It is also more difficult to access the toilet tank for maintenance or troubleshooting because it’s behind the flush button panel and in the wall. Over time, you’ll spend more on maintenance because you’ll need a plumber to work on hidden plumbing.

The main cause of bathroom leaks is seals and connectors that loosen or deteriorate over time, causing leaks to develop. It's important to stay on top of your bathroom materials, as toilets, showers, and sinks all have different lifespans. Toilets and faucets last between 10 and 15 years on average with regular maintenance, but different parts may have shorter lifespans than others.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

While a leak may seem small, even a gentle trickle of consistent moisture can lead to mold problems in your bathroom. Make sure you know how to check for mold if your toilet has been leaking for a while. Pooling water by your toilet also poses a risk for someone slipping on the slick floor of your bathroom. Finally, a leak of any size can lead to water waste that increases your water bill.

Most codes require 15 inches on either side of the toilet's centerline (from the wall or vanity) and at least 21 to 24 inches between the toilet and the wall in front of it. These codes ensure that your toilet is easy to use and access, even in small bathrooms. Check your local building codes for the exact measurements required.
