"Very highly recommend! We initially hired them to paint over a custom paint job from previous owner. They did such a beautiful job that we hired them for the entire interior of our home. They work as a painting team and worked very hard, moving furniture, painting walls, high ceilings and trim. They made two trips to bring paint samples when we expanded the job. Great communication and excellent work!"

"Had just purchased my home and was trying to coordinate getting the painting done before I moved in. Max House Painting met with my real estate agent to get into the home for a quote. When they began work they assessed other areas that they thought also needed painting and consulted with me for approval. They completed the job in the time frame they had estimated. Very happy with the communication and quality of work."

"Dylan Painting and More did an amazing job painting the living room! From start to finish, Dylan was friendly, efficient, and really detail-oriented. There were two walls with a weird plaster pattern that didn’t match the rest of the room, but he took care of it perfectly, removing the pattern and blending the texture so smoothly that the walls now look uniform and natural. The finished look is clean, sharp, and consistent all around. Truly top-notch work! I’ll definitely be calling Dylan Painting for any future painting projects. Big thanks to Lorenzo for his skills and professionalism. It was a job that took four days, and he made sure everything was done to my liking. The price he gave me was final, and he stuck to it. He didn’t ask for more money, but since the work was so well done, I insisted he get paid extra. He’s a hardworking person who just wants to get the job done, without any nonsense."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

You can find chemical and naturally derived paint thinners to remove paint without as much sanding. A heat gun or pressure washer can also remove paint from large areas. However, sanding is often the best way to remove the final bits of paint that remain on the surface.

Yes, WD-40 can be used to remove dried paint, including spray paint, from surfaces like metal because it acts as a solvent. To use this method, spray enough WD-40 to completely cover the paint and let it sit for five to ten minutes. Afterward, gently scrub the area with a cloth to remove the paint. Be aware that this method might leave behind a greasy film that can attract dirt.

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.

While a pressure washer is certainly powerful enough to remove old and peeling paint, this is not a great idea to do yourself. The pressure washer is so powerful that you could actually damage the walls as you strip away the paint. It’s best to leave paint stripping to the pros.
