"They did an outstanding job on removing a maple tree that was encroaching on the sprinkler system control box. I hated to see a tree removed but they did an amazing job. 7 workers trimmed and cut limbs, removed the tree, used a wood chipper and ground the stump and cleaned up all leaves and sawdust. They even cut some limbs to 16inch lengths for firewood. Great crew. We are very pleased and will recommend them to our friends."

""I can't recommend these guys enough! They were right on time and did an incredible job. They took care of three trees and all those pesky stump sprouts in the back, grinding everything down perfectly. They also tackled a pine tree and an overgrown bush in the front—stumps and all—and used a front loader to leave the whole area leveled and ready to go. 10/10!""

"We had a dead tree and several trees leaning towards our house that they took down. They cut them up into manageable chunks and put them in an easy spot for me to cut up later for firewood. Also piled all branches and scraps in my burn pile. Very professional and easy to work with around my schedule."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

For tree service in Spokane, keep essentials like sharp pruning shears, bypass loppers, a sturdy hand saw, and an extendable pole saw for safe tree trimming. Stock up on tree wound sealant, organic mulch, and compost to support Spokane’s alkaline soil. Don’t forget heavy-duty gloves, safety goggles, and a pH soil test kit. Stakes and flexible ties help new trees withstand Spokane’s frequent winds and dry spells.

Helpful?

In Spokane, schedule tree service if you notice cracked limbs after storms, dead branches, or signs of disease like oozing sap or leaf discoloration. Trees leaning toward power lines or roofs should be addressed before winter. Regular pruning is best in late winter or early spring. Watch for drought stress during Spokane’s dry summers, and check for root exposure after heavy winds or erosion.

Helpful?

In Spokane, homeowners often prune trees during late fall, leaving them exposed to early freezes. Overwatering mature trees is another issue, especially with Spokane’s semi-arid climate. Many choose non-native trees that struggle with local conditions or ignore compacted soil. Attempting DIY tree removal during high winds or neglecting fire-resistant landscaping are also frequent mistakes that can impact tree health and property safety.

Helpful?

Spokane homeowners are prioritizing native trees like ponderosa pine and serviceberry for resilience and low maintenance. Fire-resistant landscaping is a growing trend, with strategic tree placement to create defensible space. Xeriscaping with drought-tolerant species, edible fruit trees, and windbreaks are also popular. Many residents seek pollinator-friendly trees and those with multi-season color to boost curb appeal and support local wildlife.

Helpful?

When hiring tree service pros in Spokane, look for experience with local species and knowledge of Spokane’s unique soil and climate. Confirm they carry proper insurance and have a track record with storm cleanup and fire-resistant landscaping. Ask for local references and ensure they provide emergency services and thorough debris removal. Avoid those requesting full payment upfront, and prioritize safety, expertise, and local familiarity.
