"I would not recommend. At all. For 4 months we have been fighting with the owner to rectify our inept install. It all began with the salesman who over promised and under delivered. Then the main installation person was in a huge hurry and left behind many unbelievably careless mistakes and we are still finding more. One is even a fire risk. I could go on and on. My husband is an electrical engineer and is fixing them as he discovers them. However, the worst, we do not have the outside heat pump that our huge house requires, they simply installed the lower level unit they happened to have on hand. Dishonest! The owner is attempting to manipulate us to just walk away. He is pushing us to the limit when he should simply admit his employees screwed us over, make it right, and then we will go away. My husband is a pit bull and he isn?t going away. The fight goes on. "

"I have been a faithful customer of Grassi’s for 5+ years. They’ve installed 3 systems for me and serviced 4. I am a small business owner in town and don’t take negative reviews lightly. As of today, Grassi has lost me as a loyal customer. Over the past 6 months we’ve had consistent issues with a couple systems (5+ call outs to 2 properties). To their credit, since the units are under warranty they say they will warranty the parts. Even still we are at $1,700+ costs thus far. Today, our tenant was cold and turned on the heater. It is 60 degrees outside. Grassi is charging for another callout as the units that they worked on within the month threw another code. Their technician, Cody, called us and told us that this is an operator error, blaming our tenant for their machine malfunction, as these are “not designed to heat when the temperature outside is above 60”. These are the only heat source for the house as recommended and installed by Grassi. What is our tenant supposed to do? I don’t believe this is an engineering issue as I have more faith in Carrier (the brand installed) or my tenant, who deserves to be comfortable. My take is that this was either poorly installed or poorly recommended. When asking more questions Cody, the technician, told us that we knew nothing about refrigeration and hung up on us."

I really do like to think of myself as a jack of all trades kind of guy. I can do anything with my truck. Including hauling, loading, and dumping. Basic Handyman skills which include drywall, plumbing, electrical, and appliances. Anything involving wood is a specialty of mine. If thats anything from chopping or cutting wood to restoring and building wood furniture. I just started going out on my own and trying to make a name for myself. Staying humble with the process, but guarantee customer satisfaction at all cost. I'm a people person, enjoy my interactions more than the average person. Even if I'm offered an odd job to do, I'll make sure to get it done, and still enjoy the process. Thank you.

Your state, city, or even homeowners insurance company may have requirements on how far the outdoor wood furnace should be from the house, so be sure to abide by those regulations. In general, you should install an outdoor wood furnace or boiler as few as 30 feet or as much as 500 feet from the house or any other building.

If you would rather use vinegar to clean the stone fireplace instead of dish soap, this mixture should work fine. Vinegar is slightly acidic, however, so it may etch some kinds of stone without quite a bit of diluting. For a stone fireplace, dilute it to about one cup of vinegar for every gallon of hot water. You could remove the visible exterior section of the chimney at the roofline before sealing it, too.

It’s best to schedule an annual chimney inspection so a pro can examine it and let you know if it’s time for a replacement.
