"Just had our kitchen remodel completed by them and couldn’t be happier! Job was done in the estimated timeframe and on budget. Stan was great to work with. He made great recommendations when we were unsure or stuck on something, and kept us well informed on timing and any issues that came up every step of the way. He and everyone he brought in were very professional and worked hard to get the job done. We are already planning to have more work done by them in the near future. Highly recommend."

"We had our entire daylight basement remodeled by Serden Group. Dennis, the general contractor, and Annie, the design specialist, were very respectful and professional throughout the 2 month process. They stayed within our budget, designed an incredible new floor plan, media area, kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom. The subcontractors were all on time and did excellent work. We were kept informed every day of the progress made and were involved in decisions along the way. We never felt pressured to extend above the budget. Dennis does not take shortcuts, the quality is meticulous."

"Kitchen outtake vent replaced. I decided to wait for the baby birds to leave their nest. Mr. Handyman came out cleared out the nest for me sealed the inner to properly, and replace the exterior outtake kitchen vent so birds could not re-nest inside. I appreciate The thoroughness in the work."

"Clearwater Construction services was a great company to work with. CJ was attentive and communicative which is hard to find in this business. Every person that came out was polite and cleaned up very well. The subs they used were top notch and I would use any of them again. They did what they said they would do and did it on time. We were so impressed how they cared for the house while working on it. They treated it like their own. I highly recommend them for any work they can do and I will use them again when needed."

Customers say: True professional

"We were building our house and Project SK installed our hardwood floors. They did a great job! I was thinking about doing floors myself but after seeing their work, I am very happy I hired them because I would not be able to do such a quality job. The company communication was great as well. I was informed of the progress throughout the build. The floors turned out great and I was very happy with the price. The company contacted me a couple months after they were finished to make sure I was still happy with the floors. I feel like that sort of commitment to their work is what sets this company apart."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

A split-level home is one that has several staggered floors connected by short staircases, while a split floor plan separates the primary bedroom from the rest of the bedrooms. Split floor plans are most often found in single-story homes, while split-level homes are always at least two stories.

While you will always work with a team of professionals at some point during your home build, homeowners with experience can take on some part of the process. Manage the initial brainstorm, brief writeup, and floor layout phase with minimal assistance before contacting a general contractor. And while you can purchase stock blueprints for some home designs, it's always best to speak with professionals when choosing one ideal for your property.

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.

Blueprints are generally available for houses built after the early 1900s. Before then, detailed building schematics like blueprints were rarely used and even more rarely saved. If you have an older house and need blueprints, you can have a new set drawn up by an architect or draftsperson.

Costs depend on project complexity, materials, labor, permits, and required revisions.
