Rhett and his crew are the best. This was a looooong project, with delays due to the permitting process, changes due to code compliance, and a variety of factors. But Rhett stayed in communication the entire time. Now we have a much larger house, with solar panels and battery backup, and it's safe for my disabled husband. We turned our daughter's garage into our ADU, pushed the back of her entire house out by 14 feet, and added a 3-car garage on the other end of her ranch house. Already talking to Rhett about a barn and/or greenhouse.

We had a great experience with Rhett. He fully understood our intentions for this project. The cost estimate he presented us at the beginning of our project was right on the money. The crew of various trades that he brought in were experienced and he was in constant communication with each one as the project went along and slight changes needed to be made from our original plan. He was on site at least once a day if not more to oversee our project and communicate with his crew as the necessary changes were made to our original plan. Rhett also communicated with us throughout the entire project and we were never in the dark about any aspect of the timeline for each stage of our project even though we had to make a few changes. He is a true professional when it comes to his business and he takes his business and your project very seriously. You might find another guy that might be a couple bucks cheaper, but for peace of mind if you choose Rhett as your contractor you will be so happy you did. So, avoid the possibility of getting scammed or hiring someone that can't deliver what they promise because of lack of experience. Rhett is the real deal and he has many photos of his past projects to prove the quality of his work. We would highly recommend him. Thanks again Rhett.

Rhett and his crew did an amazing job adding a significantly sized outdoor living area with stone patio, roofing, tongue and groove ceiling, kitchen area, firepit, IR heaters, and area for hot tub. I wish I could attach some photos as proof of his job. Rhett is an honest man that comes through on everything he tells you he is going to do. While we certainly signed a contract, there were many changes/adjustments we simply shook hands on and he always came through and was honest with any additional charges that were incurred. I didn't always have a complete vision on what I wanted to do and often relied on Rhett's experience to come up with a solution and every guidance he gave me was spot on. I also in retrospect realize how big a job he was signing up for being willing to do this job in the middle of winter while other contractors said they would wait till spring. He certainly incurred weather related setbacks due to the weather but pressed forward whenever he could. The job flowed from start to finish continually and he did a great job working with whatever permits and inspections were necessary. Rhett is not the type of contractor that assigns a foreman and then disappears. He got his hands dirty right along with his crew which benefited the quality of the job. What small work Rhett had to subcontract (electrician, gas install), he had great guys come out that did quality work as well. I've already spread the word to neighbors and friends that are looking to get work done at their house. I would highly recommend RR Custom Exteriors for whatever work outdoors you need done.

My bathroom was rotting away under my feet walls also, extensive water damage over several years. Rhett came in and gave me a bid that none of the other contractors could come close to matching. Rhett and his team were very perfectional, yet very friendly and respectful of me and my home. I will have no problem with hiring them again for another project. They were great.

We love our new kitchen! Rhett and his kitchen designer Eugene worked out how to make our small kitchen more efficient. The kitchen does feel larger and the cabinets are beautiful. Electrician, plumber, painters all did a great job. Exceeded our expectations. Rhett made sure the job was finished right on schedule, We would recommend R&R Custom Exteriors to anyone! CUSTOMER REVIEW RE: RR CUSTOM EXTERIORS 9/18/2022 I recently hired RR CUSTOM EXTERIORS to convert my 460sq ft garage into a studio apartment, with the help of Rhett Conner (General Contractor) and his amazing team of professionals. Each one bringing a special set of skills to the table, and all of them very respectful, courteous and hard working. I do a lot of my own home projects and I am very particular in the quality of finish work. I was very impressed with how the project all came together and in the quality of the work completed. RR CUSTOM EXTERIORS started this project around the time we were going into the pandemic, which created its own unique challenges. Rhett and I came to an agreement that was sealed with a gentlemanâ s handshake, followed by a professional contract. Who does business with a handshake any more? I liked Rhett, and knew right away I could trust him; my intuition proved accurate. Rhett and his crew encountered several unexpected changes along the way, some of them of my own doing, along with several other set backs not within their control. No matter how frustrating it was at times, Rhett consistently communicated in a respectful and timely manner, and rolled with the punches. I witnessed this project unfold as Rhett and his team created an absolutely one of a kind beautiful studio apartment. Fully functional and at a very reasonable price! It has an adorable corner bathroom that includes a tiled shower, along with a full kitchenette, and washer dryer hookups. A lot of creativity went into this project, particularly along the wall that housed the furnace and along the garage doors. Rhett created this extraordinary wall that housed the furnace, to include a closet, furnace access, and a upper portion with false wall to allow my pellet stove to be piped up threw it. This allowed me to mount my 60 inch Flat screen TV above my Pellet stove. It looks amazing!!! The wall along the garage doors was modified with an additional access to the outside, creating a barn door appearance. Again very creative, providing me with the ability to move big items in and out of my studio, while preserving the garage doors. Over all I couldnâ t be happier. I am very grateful to Rhett and his crew. I went into this project with unrealistic expectations, and came out humbled, grateful, and educated. I would strongly recommend hiring RR CUSTOM EXTERIORS for anyone interested in remodeling or reconstructing their homes. You wonâ t regret it! We signed a contract with Rhett to complete a home addition in March of this year. Six months later he has pulled out of the job with not a single piece of ground broken on this project. He initially seemed amiable and like a good guy, but over time he has proved to be misogynistic, condescending, and refused to provide a timeline for his job. He was VERY defensive when we asked more detailed questions and accused us of questioning HIS character when we were merely asking questions about why things have been taking so long. He started by having us decide on and pay for cabinets before we even had structural drawings for the whole of the home addition. Now we are stuck with cabinets and no structure to put them in! I would RUN not walk away from this contractor. If I could have given him zero stars, I would have. He does not like women who ask intelligent questions and want accountability for their projects. He basically wants a check and for you to ask no questions. I wish we had never met him.

Rhett and his team was very nice and professional. Communication was very good and I always Knew who was coming and when. After the demolition of a wall and a massive brick fireplace, you would never know it was their. His team patched up the walls and ceiling and cleaned up and left my house clean! I highly Recommend Rhett and his team!!

I hired RR Custom on the recommendation of my wood stove vendor, after first one, and then a second contractor, told me they would modify my living room for me (for the stove's arrival) and then failed to put me on their scheduleâ for months. Rhett kindly and promptly squeezed in my project, going over and above to get it done in under 7 days. And Iâ m delighted with the results! He and his crews are fast, hard working, clean up each day before they leave and truly want you to be happy with your finished project. As a single female, I trusted them around me and in my house. Rhett runs a tight ship. He is well organized, on top of details and a (rare!) good communicator. Over the years, I've grown accustomed to other companies' crews showing up knowing what they are supposed to work on, but not well briefed on specifics--after weâ d discuss details, theyâ d make themselves a shopping list and go to the store for supplies (at $85/hr./person!â ¦) Not RR Custom. They show up ready to roll, and knock it out. It reduces the options for adjusting as you go, but it makes them much more efficient and professional. Just be certain youâ ve discussed all the details ahead of time. The finished work was even more beautiful than I expected! I asked for plywood inside my wood storage column, imagining a rough-and-tumble, painted surface. But he put in such lovely wood I opted to clear coat it, instead! He was also willing to work with me on using low-toxicity products I could tolerate, which for me is really important. I did take off half a star for a couple of reasons. A) they could have been more careful with my wood floor. It got a bit dinged up (they were good about buffing out what they could, but there are still marks), and I spent over an hour after they were gone, removing small paint splatters and a few random other smears that could easily have been avoided. B) I kept having to ask his crew members to keep their cigarettes farther away from my open windows. I don't know any other contractor that allows smoking on a client's premises - but especially once I've asked, I shouldn't have to keep asking. But overall, they are terrific to work with. I would definitely hire them again and very highly recommend them.

Great communication. You always know where the project status is including prompt responses if you ever have question along the way. Our project included both pavers for our roof/deck and replacement of a wood railing. Great work and reasonable prices. Definitely worth 5 stars.

Rhett and his crew had to come in a fix the work that a previous contractor started and then left us high and dry on. His team came in, ripped out the previous contractor's terrible work and finished of a dream bathroom for my wife and I.

Rhett is absolutely wonderful to work with. He listened to what we wanted and advised us on pros and cons before doing the work. The subcontractors were a somewhat sloppy

Rhett and crew constructed an all weather sunroom addition to our new home. The work is superb, the room is beautiful and all specifications of the HOA were also met. His team works hard, cleans up at the end of the day and the quality is first rate. Value and quality for money is five stars! Would definitely recommend and hire again.
