"Beeline electric provided excellent customer service and were so friendly both on the phone and in-person. They provided service for us last-minute on Christmas Eve (!) and placed our minds at rest to provide what now is safe, efficient heating in our studio. Thank you Beeline. We highly recommend Beeline."

"From estimate, to selection of The Juice Company, to scheduling, they made the entire process painless. Had 2 15 amp "peanut" breakers installed to replace an existing breaker and establish a new circuit, and 2 new outlets installed. We also had low voltage network cable roughed in so I could terminate it later, and everything was done not only properly, but quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done in the South Sound region."

"I needed emergency electrical work as one section of my home electricity stopped working. Seatown worked me in first after hours, and then, we=hen a cancellation opened up, during regular hours. The technician patiently and thoroughly sleuthed out what plug switch had gone bad that caused others on the same line to stop working. Since one was the refrigerator, I was VERY happy to get it fixed."

"Communication was top notch from the office staff to the seasoned technicians that performed the work (dedicated circuit for a kitchen appliance) They were able to get it done quickly and professionally, and the necessary permit was handled as well. Very pleased with In-House Electrical and I would not hesitate to call on them again for future electrical work."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

A small sump pump running infrequently uses an average of 10 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per month. The average cost for electricity is $0.171 per kWh. The size and use frequency affect how much electricity it uses. Sump pumps average one-third to one horsepower (hp) motors. One hp is equal to 745.7 watts. Watts multiplied by the time your pump is running divided by 1,000 equals your average kWh. Multiply kWh by your average cost of electricity. In areas with high rain or a marsh basin, the average cost can be as high as $15-$25 a month.

Moving an electrical outlet typically costs between $25 and $300. The final price depends on several factors, including the type of outlet, the condition of your existing wiring, and the state of your walls. For example, working on exposed walls without drywall is easier and less expensive for an electrician. However, if the walls are finished, the cost may increase to account for necessary repairs afterward. It's recommended to consult a professional for a precise quote based on your specific situation.

The doorbell installation cost depends on which and how many parts you need to replace. A new transformer is the least expensive replacement and falls between $20 and $35, plus the cost of hiring an electrician to install it, which can be between $150 and $250. Replacing your entire doorbell system can cost $250 to $400.

Electrical meter risers connect your home’s electrical meter to overhead power lines so you can receive electrical service from the grid. Electrical meters also have a weatherhead, which protects the utility lines connected to your home’s electrical system via the service entrance cable. Risers connect the weatherhead to your electrical meter socket, which connects to the meter.

The answer depends on your needs and the availability of your current electrical panel. If you’re hoping to seriously up the power in your detached living space, you may also need to consider increasing the power of the amp your home runs on (from 100-amps to 200-amps, for example).
